How to knit Japanese short rows

In this DROPS video we show how to knit Japanese short rows. We have already knitted a piece in stocking st, and continues like this in the video:
Work stocking st until 5 st remains, turn, put a mark (or a safety pin) on the working yarn close up to the work (the mark will hang on wrong side of work), slip the st with the mark purl-wise, purl until 5 st remains, turn, put a mark on the working yarn close up to the work (the mark will hang on wrong side of work), slip the st with the mark purl-wise, knit until 10 st remains, turn, put a mark on the working yarn close up to the work (the mark will hang on wrong side of work), slip the st with the mark purl-wise, purl until 10 st remains, turn, put a mark on the working yarn close up to the work (the mark will hang on wrong side of work), slip the st with the mark purl-wise.
Know you knit, even the st with the mark, lift the loop with the mark on left needle, remove the mark, knit this loop and the next st straight together as one st. Do the same with the next mark on the right side row and finish the row. Turn, purl, even the st with the mark, slip the next st purl-wise from left to right needle, lift the loop with the mark on left needle, remove the mark, slip st from right needle back on left needle, purl st and loop together as one st, do the same with the next mark. Purl out row.

Danke für die Antwort! Das funktioniert aber nur in Reihen, oder? Hätte es bei einem rund gestrickten RVO probiert (mit Rollbündchenkragen), nur entsteht da ein Loch am Ende, wenn nach dem Verkürzen normal weiter gestrickt werden soll, das sich nicht sauber verstricken lässt. Habt ihr Tipps?

Liebe Susanne, diese Technik kann auch für Strickstück, die im Runde gestrickt sind, die verkürzten Reihen sind immer in Reihen gestrickt, einfach genauso wie im Video stricken dann wieder in die Runde stricken. Es sollte kein Loch entstehen. Viel Spaß beim stricken! 05.02.2019 - 08:08

Gute Methode, aber wie weiß ich, wieviele Maschen ich nehmen muss? Immer in 5er Abständen? Ist das nicht wollabhängig? Und ich frage mich, warum die linke Masche so kompliziert gestrickt wird, mit Faden vor der Nadel ist es doch viel einfacher! LG Susanne

Liebe Susanne, die Maschenanzahl hängt von der Anleitung, in diesem Beispiel haben wir 5 Maschen aber je nach dem Modell wird diese Anzahl änder - siehe dieses Modell z.B.. Die linke Maschen sind hier nach norwegischer Art gestrickt. Viel Spaß beim stricken! 01.02.2019 - 08:49

Bra video, trodde jag lyckats med detta. MEN rundstickar tröja och när jag kommer från rätan och ska sticka igen hålen efter vändningar gjorda från avigan till rätan så kommer "hålet" före markören på tråden som då sitter kvar på vänster sticka. Hur gör jag då??
