How to knit stockinette stitch in the round on a circular needle

In this DROPS video we show how you can knit stockinette stitch in the round on circular needles.

Cast on, join and work stockinette in the round on a circular needle. Make sure 1st row not gets twisted, knit all sts around and around.

Bonjour Sarah, si votre aiguille circulaire est trop longue, vous pouvez utiliser la technique "magic loop" - cf index. bon tricot !

Lorsqu'on a pas mal de mailles sur l'aiguille circulaire il m'est souvent assez difficile de voir si le rang n'a pas été tordu et si c'est le cas bien évidemment je ne m'en aperçois qu'après plusieurs tours et tout est à refaire ! A chaque fois que je tricote en rond ça m'arrive, parfois plusieurs fois de suite et encore pas plus tard qu'hier ...

Bonjour Michelle, pour changer la taille d'aiguille (ou la largeur), commencez un nouveau tour avec la nouvelle aiguille circulaire, et, en fin de tour, continuez simplement en rond avec la nouvelle aiguille. Bon tricot !

Bonjour Marie Kiki, vous pouvez tout à fait tricoter des manches sur aiguille circulaire, regardez la vidéo "magic loop", elle vous aidera lorsque le nombre de mailles est trop petit pour tenir sur l'aiguille circulaire. Bon tricot !

In this DROPS video we show you how to work knit 1, purl 1, back and forth using the Continental knitting style. This textured pattern is called rib/ribbing and is one of many varieties. BEFORE THE VIDEO STARTS: The textured pattern stitches are divisible by 2. For the pattern to be symmetrical on both sides the stitch count needs to be divisible by 2 + 1 stitch. We have cast on with a stitch count divisible by 2 + 1 stitch and, in addition, 1 edge stitch on each side (the edge stitches are worked in garter stitch = knitted on all rows). We have already worked a few centimeters of the ribbed pattern. THE VIDEO SHOWS: ROW 1: Knit 1, purl 1 to end of row, with 1 edge stitch on each side.
