How to put a sleeve (knitted in the round) with front and back piece
Put sleeve sts (which has been knitted in the round on needle) on the same circular needle as front and back piece. When you knit on a circular needle and should knit raglan or round yoke, start to knit front and back until armholes. On next round bind off 4 sts for armhole each side (or number of sts told in pattern). Now work the sleeves, bind off 4 sts for armhole (or number of sts told in pattern) for sleeve cap. Then put sleeve sts on the same circular needle where sts where bound off for armhole each side.
In the video we show a front and back piece where we have bound off for arm hole at the side, and then how to work the sleeve sts on to the same circular needle. The sleeve has been worked in the round on a circular needle or double pointed needles.

Sto lavorando a maglia il modelloDROPS 197-1 #valdressweater e devo fare lo sprone. Nell'istruzione leggo: Riportare le maglie delle maniche sugli stessi ferri circolari del davanti e dietro, nel punto in cui sono state intrecciate le maglie per gli scalfi. Iniziare il giro nel passaggio tra la manica destra e il dietro. Lavorare come segue: * diagramma A.5 (= 2 maglie.....mi chiedo: mentre passo le maglie le lavoro oppure le passo solamente e le lavoro al giro successivo?
02.05.2026 - 16:05Io mi trovo a dover inserire le maglie delle maniche lavorate sui ferri circolari sul ferro del davanti e dietro dovendo pero lavorare il ferro del rovescio del lavoro .. come. Faccio ?

17.01.2026 - 17:44I am knitting a large "Green Echo Jacket", and have attached the sleeves to the fronts and back piece. Now I am starting the pattern and have done the first row. Please reassure me that I haven't misunderstood the instructions - line 2 of A.2a indicates increasing 3 stitches at each end, thus adding 6 stitches to the section. I presume that I repeat this sequence all the way around the piece, thus adding 132 stitches to the garment. Is this correct?

Dear Marie, you repeat A.2a 18 times in the row. Since you increase 6 stitches in each repeat: 6x18 = 108 stitches increased. Happy knitting!
11.03.2024 - 00:43I understand how to attach the sleeves knitted in the round to a flat piece knitted flat. However - my cardigan has over 400 stitches now, with the sleeves having added 80 stitches each, to the needle, and are extremely difficult to knit onto the long needle, due to the short 10 stitch castoff. How should I do the pattern if I am struggling to just knit all the stitches on the needle?

Dear Marie, it's normal that it may sometimes be difficult to work all of the stitches in the joining sections between the sleeves and body; it depends on the model. This difficulty will only appear in the first few rows of the joined yoke; later on, as you work the yoke, it will get easier. Happy knitting!

Hei Ingrid. På samme måte. Når du har strikket 1.erm på, strikker du videre (over bakstykket) til neste ermhull og så strikker du 2. erme på samme måte som man strikket 1. ermet på. Men husk å lese oppskriften du strikker etter om det er noe man må ta hensyn til. mvh DROPS Design

08.01.2024 - 11:56Je ne comprends pas diminutions manches 26 fois1 maille alternativement tous les tours et tous les 2 tours? Est ce d abord 26 rangs puis ensuite 13 rangs ou autre? Merci pour votre réponse

Bonjour Christine, vous devez procéder ainsi: *Tricotez 1 tour avec augmentation (tous les tours), 1 tour sans augmentation, 1 tour avec augmentation (tous les 2 tours)* et répétez de *à* encore 12 fois =. vous aurez augmentez 26 fois au total. Bon tricot!
