In this DROPS video we show how to crochet a Moebius ring. Moebius, a German mathematician from the beginning of the 19th century, who developed the magically twisted circle ring on which this crochet technique is based.

Ch a row in desired length of your cowls circumference. Form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: ch 3 (= 1 tr), skip first ch, continue to work 1 tr in every ch the entire round, work only in back loop of ch. Continue to work in the round and once you finish the first round you now work 1 tr in every ch in front loop of ch (i.e. there will be a "cross" in the transition).
ROUND 2: (Insert a marker = beg of round). Begin working 1 tr in 3rd ch from beg of previous round, continue to work 1 tr in every tr the entire round. Continue in the round with desired stitch pattern.

In this DROPS video, we show you how to knit a sock with a gusset heel - arguably the most common method for working a heel. To begin, the stitches on top of the foot are placed on a thread, while the stitches at the back are kept on the needles and the heel is worked as follows: 1) The heel is first worked in height, back and forth across the heel-stitches. 2) Next, the bottom of the heel is worked to the required width and length by working short rows and decreasing stitches. 3) Once this step is completed, continue knitting in the round across all stitches, knitting up stitches on both sides of the heel (along the length). 4) The width and shape of the foot is worked by decreasing stitches on both sides, forming a small gusset heel – that is why this type of heel is known as a gusset heel.

In this DROPS video we show a brief overview of how to knit a garment with an European yoke, where the neck is finished after the stitches for the sleeves are knitted up. The garment is worked as follows, according to these 5 steps: 1) BACK PIECE: Cast on stitches for the back of the neckline and work the back piece top down, at the same time as increasing each side until you have reached the correct shoulder-width. The back piece has slightly diagonal shoulders. 2) FRONT PIECE: The front piece is worked in 2 pieces (each side of the neck). Start by knitting up stitches along one shoulder on the back piece. Work the front piece top down, at the same time as increasing for the neckline. Repeat for the second front piece along the other back shoulder. 3) YOKE: On the next row, place all stitches on the same circular needle as follows: Work across one front piece, pick up stitches for the sleeve along the side of the front piece, work across the back piece, pick up stitches for the sleeve along the side of the second front piece, work across the second front piece. The yoke is continued back and forth across all stitches, with the rows starting and ending mid-front. 4) INCREASE FOR NECK, BODY AND SLEEVES: While working the yoke, begin by increasing only for the neckline and sleeves, then subsequently for both the body and sleeves. Once the final increase for the neckline is done, the 2 front pieces are joined mid-front and the piece is continued in the round. 5) BODY AND SLEEVES: When all the increases are finished and the yoke has been worked to the correct length, it is divided for the body and sleeves. The body is continued in the round with a circular needle, top down, while the sleeves wait.

In this DROPS video, we demonstrate how to knit up stitches around an armhole for a split-sleeve. We begin by showing you how to use a crochet hook to knit up stitches and transfer them onto a knitting needle. Then, we continue by showing you how to work with the stitches using knitting needles. Start at the bottom of the armhole (not directly under the sleeve) and knit up the number of stitches specified in your pattern, going as far as the other side of the armhole. Knit up the stitches within one stitch, which is often a garter stitch. Turn and work back, continuing back and forth to the measurement specified in your pattern, or use short rows for a better fit. Once completed, the sleeve is joined and worked in the round. Refer to your pattern for details on measurements, decreases, and the ribbed cuff. In this video, we demonstrate only 6–7 cm of the sleeve. Finally, sew together the hole under the sleeve. To make the seam and sewing easier to see, we use a contrasting color in the video.
