Hello, I am knitting pattern 236-9, and at the top of the sleeve the instruction is to ‘work the sleeve cap’ back and forth’. Could you explain how to do this? (Does it mean to decrease to make a raglan?). I am knitting on straight needles, so should I just decrease at the edges? Very grateful for your assistance - many thanks!

Dear Christine, this pattern doesn't have a raglan. The sleeve cap is the shape at the top of the sleeve and here is worked back and forth with an opening in the mid under sleeve. You work straight, you don't need to work any extra decreases or anything; just continue working the pattern, but back and forth, while the rest of the sleeve had been worked in the round. If you have worked back and forth from the beginning then you don't need to do anything else. Happy knitting!

01.02.2022 - 09:29Hola buen día, queria saber como se hace una sisa en tejido circular, Tambien cómo hacer las mangas y después unirlas a la sisa en tejido circular. Gracias un cordial saludo. Hola Robledo, en circular la sisa se puede trabajar del tipo Raglán o canesú redondo para que no haya que coser. Te recomiendo mirar el último catálogo de niños donde tienes vídeos explicativos para distintos modelos que te podrían servir.
