In this DROPS video we show how you can increase with yarn over (yo) This is an increase that creates a decorative hole. We show the increase 2 times in the video. Halfway through the video we have turned the work and show you how to work the yo in front or back loop depending if you prefer a larger or smaller hole. When working the back loop the stitch becomes twisted and this way the hole becomes a bit smaller. You must read the pattern to be able to follow. In this DROPS video we show how you can increase and make a new stitch by picking up the loop from the stitch on previous row. You can do it after or before a stitch just as we show in the video. Right side: put your left needle through stitch 2 rows below the stitch on the right needle. Lift it up on your left needle and knit it in the back loop. Left side: put your right needle into the stitch under the first stitch on your left needle. Pick up the loop and put it on your left needle. Knit this new stitch in the front loop, and also knit following stitch separate as usual. This is also a great method when you need to inc two stitches right next to each other, without having to work a stitch between them. In the video we show twice how you make a loop on right needle with the working thread away from you. You can make the increased stitch lean in different directions.
