How to knit a wave pattern
In this video we are following a pattern repeat with 17 sts in width and 4 rows in height.
1st row (RS): K2 tog 3 times, yo, K1, yo, K1, yo, K1, yo, K1, yo, K1, yo, K2 tog 3 times.
2nd row (WS: K all sts (they will be purled seen from RS)
3rd row: K all sts
4th row: P all sts
When casting off, work the first row of M.1 whilst casting off (to make the binding off edge wavy too).

I picked up stitches and knitted this pattern. However, it did not scallop the way it did when I started the pattern from the cast on edge. Is there a way to get the same scallop when you pick up stitches, or for example, at the end (cast-off end) of an afghan?
