How to knit a wave pattern

In this DROPS video we shows how to knit a wave pattern using decreases and yarn overs.

In this video we are following a pattern repeat with 17 sts in width and 4 rows in height.
1st row (RS): K2 tog 3 times, yo, K1, yo, K1, yo, K1, yo, K1, yo, K1, yo, K2 tog 3 times.
2nd row (WS: K all sts (they will be purled seen from RS)
3rd row: K all sts
4th row: P all sts

When casting off, work the first row of M.1 whilst casting off (to make the binding off edge wavy too).

Hei Amanda. Det kommer an på hvilken genser/jakke det er, for man må jo da ta inn 1 rapport (eller flere rapporter) av bølgemønster og det kan være vanskelig å få pent. mvh DROPS design

DROPS Design :

Dear Inge, the x in this video is a stitch worked K from WS, while the white squares are K from RS, P from WS (= stocking stitch). In this pattern; 1st row in A.1 is worked from WS = K from WS then next 2 rows with white squares = K from RS, P from WS, then on next row from RS work the lace pattern and continue like this following the diagram, in this pattern the "-" is for a K from WS (P from RS). Bonjour Fifi, quand on tricote ce point sans diminuer, il faut toujours faire le même nombre de jetés qu'on a diminué de mailles, par ex dans cet exemple, on diminue 6 m (3 m au début + 3 m à la fin du diagramme) et on a 6 jetés au milieu. Si vous tricotez ce motif plusieurs fois en largeur, n'hésitez pas à bien placer un marqueur entre chaque pour bien pouvoir vérifier votre nombre de mailles. Bon tricot!
