GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.

Worked back and forth on circular needle and sewn tog mid back when finished. Cast on 69-72-78 sts with 2 strands grey blue. Work in GARTER ST back and forth until piece measures 3-3-3 cm. Switch to 1 strand grey blue and 1 strand ice blue and continue in garter st until piece measures 7-7-7 cm. Switch to 1 strand ice blue and 1 strand white. Work until piece measures 12-12-12 cm. Switch to 2 strands white and use until finished. When piece measures 13-14-15 cm, insert 2 markers in the piece, 23-24-26 sts apart. On next row from RS work as follows: K the first 2 tog, work until 2 sts remain before marker and K 2 tog 2 times, repeat at next marker and work the last 2 sts tog (= 6 dec sts). Repeat dec every other row 8-9-10 times in total = 21-18-18 sts remain on needle. On next round, K all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten. Hat measures approx. 18-20-21 cm.

Beg at the bottom of hat and sew tog in outer loops of edge sts up along hat.

Make 3 pompoms with an approx. diameter of 4 cm, make 1 in each of the 3 colours. Fasten them tog and fasten at the top of hat.

Bon tricot!
