PONCHO:
Worked in the round on circular needle from bottom edge. Cast on 208-236-264 sts on circular needle size 7 mm / US 10½ with Vienna. Insert a marker at beg of round. Continue in PATTERN – see above - as follows: M.1 3-4-4 times, M.2, M.1 6-7-8 times, M.2, M.1 3-3-4 times. Work 1 vertical repeat of M.1/M.2 like this. There are now 168-192-216 sts on round. K 0-6-0 sts. Insert a marker in piece (round starts here) and 1 marker after 84-96-108 sts. Markers = the sides. Continue as follows: 39-45-51 stockinette sts, 6 garter sts – see above, 78-90-102 stockinette sts, 6 garter sts and 39-45-51 stockinette sts. Continue like this, AT THE SAME TIME dec 1 st on each side of the 6 garter sts mid front and mid back – SEE DECREASING TIP! Repeat the dec on every 4th round a total of 4-4-5 times, then on every other round 10-12-12 times = 112-128-148 sts. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 27-29-31 cm / 10 5/8”-11 3/8”-12¼” divide the piece for split mid front – SEE MEASUREMENT TIP – and continue in stockinette st back and forth on needle with 3 garter sts each side towards mid front, and 6 garter sts mid back as before. When all dec are complete work 4 rows garter st on all sts, AT THE SAME TIME dec 34-48-64 sts evenly on first row = 78-80-84 sts. Piece now measures approx 37-40-43 cm / 14½”-15¾”-17”. Bind off loosely.

Bonjour, pourriez vous me donner en détail comment faire le premier rang.....moi je comprend de faire 3 fois m1 et apres faire m2,,, 6 fois m1 et apres faire m2 et finir par m1 cela me donne 180 maille et non 208 mailles. donc 4+14=14+20+14+14+14+14+14+14+20+14= 180

DROPS Design 27.11.2017 kl. 10:49:

Bonjour Marguerite, on doit en fait terminer par 3 x M.1 (correction faite, merci), on a ainsi: 3x M.1, M.2, 6xM.1, M.2, 3xM.1 = 208 m. Bon tricot!

Marie-France 26.11.2017 - 16:02:

Bonjour, pour la taille s/m on monte 208 mailles... si je tricote 3 fois M1, M2, 6-fois M1, M2, 1- fois M1. j'arrive a 320 mailles. 3 fois m1 = 42 m 3 fois m2 = 60 6 fois m1= 84 m 6 fois m2= 120 m 1 fois m1 = 14 ca me donne 320 mailles dans le premier rang...?????

When there is a space in the chart, you just continue with next stitch that follows after the space.

Jorja 19.05.2010 - 22:37:

Love the poncho! question, i'm guessing when starting row 1 through row 15 or m.1, the empty spaces are to be either k or p depending on what was preceeding the space? i beg forgiveness, i'm pretty new to knitting, could not resist trying this pattern, thanks for your help, jorja

Syosticka.se 22.01.2010 - 13:35:

Hej Agneta!
