Do I need to block the pieces before sewing them?
18.10.2021 - 21:27DROPS Design vastas:
Hi, you should block the pieces before sewing. It is easier to sew them after that. Happy knitting!

For the sleeve, I am doing size 3/4. It says that when it reaches 31 cm or 12 1/4 inches then you work 2 rows binding off 4 sts and so on. Is the measurement wrong? For size 3/4, it is 13"at this point instead of 12 1/4 in. You have 2 1/2 in + 1 3/4 in x 6 = 13 in.
05.10.2021 - 03:56DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Mrs Agnew, the last increase will be worked when sleeve measures 28,5 cm/ca 11.22 in; work until piece measures 31 cm/12.20 inc. Happy knitting!

Wrt the sleeve, you have "Cast on (29) 31-33-33-34-34 sts (includes 1 edge st in each side) ", what is the edge st? Does this mean that I slip the first stitch for each row when knitting the sleeve?
30.09.2021 - 04:54DROPS Design vastas:
Hi Kari, The edge stitches are for the seam when you sew the sleeves together at the end (extra stitches which are worked in stocking stitch). Happy knitting!

Hi, In reference to my previous question: "For the shoulder, It says to work the shoulder until the piece measures 6 3/4" (for size 3/4). Is that measured from the decrease for the arm hole? That is the only measurement that would make sense to me.", there must be something wrong with the measurement. By the time you do the decrease for the armhole, the piece measures 10 1/2" so it is already beyond the 6 3/4" by that point. Thank you for answering my other questions. Kari
05.09.2021 - 21:59DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Mrs Agnew, correct, pattern will be edited, you should work until piece measures 40 cm (3rd size), ie approx. 15.75 inches (convert cm into inches here. Happy knitting!

When finishing the shoulders on the front piece, it says "bind off at beg of every row from neck as follows: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 2 times = (15) 16-17-18-18-20 sts remain on shoulder". Does this mean you actually bind off on every other row with the rows you bind off on are the rows starting at the neck? I binded off every row for the first four rows and the side where the sleeve will go had an indentation that doesn't make sense to me. Thanks, Kari
04.09.2021 - 06:47DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Kari, yes, you bind off in each row that begins from neck ( in one row from the neck you bind off, in the next one (not from the neck) you don't, in the following one (from the neck) you bind off, e.t.c).

Hi, For the Front piece, the middle 10 stitches (size3/4) for the neck, once they are on the stitch holder, there are no instructions what to do with them. Do you just bind them off? Thanks, Kari
04.09.2021 - 06:30DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Kari, you use these stitches when working the neck edge (the last section of the pattern).

Hi, For the shoulder, It says to work the shoulder until the piece measures 63/4" (for size 3/4). Is that measured from the decrease for the arm hole? That is the only measurement that would make sense to me. Thanks, Kari
04.09.2021 - 00:39DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Kari, 6 3/4" is the measurement from the cast on edge (or the total length of the back/front). Happy knitting!

Hi, I would like to do this using two needles in lieu of a circular needle. Do you think that will work? Anything thing I need to be aware of?
05.08.2021 - 07:39DROPS Design vastas:
Dear Mrs Agnew, sure you can since this jumper is worked back and forth on circular needle to get enough room for all stitches, only neck edge is worked in the round (sew just one shoulder before picking up sts and finish with the seam on 2nd shoulder + neck edge). Read even more here. Happy knitting!

Merci d'avance!!!
07.03.2021 - 23:43DROPS Design vastas:
Bon tricot!
