Cómo cambiar de hilos o de cantidades de hilos

Cambiar

1 hilo por otro:

Si los hilos tuvieran la misma tensión de tejido en la muestra, es fácil cambiar de un hilo al otro.

Seguir la muestra/tensión de tejido indicada en el patrón – recuerda que el tamaño de la aguja es solamente orientativo; cambiar al tamaño de aguja que necesites. Para más información acerca de la muestra/tensión de tejido, ver aquí

1 hilo por otro del mismo grupo de lanas:

Todos nuestros hilos son hilados a un grosor estándar y pueden ser utilizados para el mismo patrón si se cambia de hilo dentro de un mismo Grupo de Lanas DROPS. Ver nuestros grupos de lanas aquí.

Hilos diferentes tienen estructuras diferentes.

1 hilo por 2 o más hilos:

Los hilos DROPS son hilados de manera que el grosor de los hilos sea equivalente entre ellos.
Al trabajar con más de un hilo de un Grupo de Lanas, puedes encontrar patrones fácilmente en otros Grupos de Lanas (ver los grupos de lanas aquí) o ver nuestras sugerencias (ver las combinaciones de hilos recomendadas aquí).

Aquí está una lista de hilos que fácilmente pueden ser intercambiados dentro de los Grupos de Lanas:

En los patrones DROPS esto está escrito así: A + A = C

La cantidad de hilo es ajustada al cambiar:

1 hilo por 1 hilo.

Al cambiar de hilos, la cantidad de hilo también puede tener que ser ajustada porque el metraje de hilo en un ovillo (50 gramos = X metros) varía de un hilo a otro – ver el cálculo abajo:

En el patrón necesitas 300 g del Hilo-X
Necesitamos saber el metraje para poder calcular cuánto irás a necesitar del Hilo-Y:

Hilo-X: 50 g = 170 metros
Total de hilo requerido: 6 ovillos x 170 metros = 1020 metros

Hilo-Y: 50 g = 150 metros

Número de metros del Hilo-X = 1020 metros
Dividido por el número de metros del Hilo-Y = 6.8 ovillos

Resultado:
7 ovillos = 350 g del Hilo-Y
sustituyen
6 ovillos = 300 g del Hilo-X.

1 hilo por 2 con el mismo metraje.

Este es un ejemplo, para mostrarte cómo calcular el hilo necesario cuando se cambia de 1 hilo DROPS Snow (Grupo de Lanas E) a 2 hilos DROPS Air (Grupo de Lanas C) – ver el cálculo abajo:

El patrón indica 1150 g de DROPS Snow.
Necesitamos saber el metraje para poder hacer el cálculo:

DROPS Snow: 50 g = 50 metros
Total de hilo requerido: 23 ovillos x 50 metros = 1150 metros

DROPS Air: 50 g = aprox. 150 metros

Número de metros de DROPS Snow = 1150 metros
Dividido por el número de metros de DROPS Air = 7.67 ovillos

Vas a trabajar con 2 hilos en vez de 1 hilo, por lo tanto el número de ovillos es x 2: 7.67 x 2 = 16 ovillos

Resultado:
1150 g DROPS Snow
es sustituido por
800 g DROPS Air

2 hilos de diferente metraje a 1 hilo.

Así se calcula el hilo necesario cuando deseas trabajar con 1 hilo en un patrón que utiliza 2 hilos
Ejemplo: 1 hilo DROPS BabyAlpaca Silk (del Grupo de Lanas A) y 1 hilo DROPS Kid-Silk (del Grupo de Lanas A)
es alterado a:
1 hilo DROPS AIR (del Grupo de Lanas C)

El patrón indica:
300 g DROPS BabyAlpaca-Silk y 125 g DROPS Kid-Silk
(= 2 hilos del Grupo de Lanas A)

Recalcular esto a:
1hilo DROPS Air (Grupo de Lanas C)
Necesitamos saber el metraje para poder recalcular:

DROPS BabyAlpaca-Silk: 50 g = 167 metros,
Total hilo requerido: 6 ovillos x 167 metros = 1002 metros

DROPS Kid-Silk: 25 g = 200 metros
Total hilo requerido: 5 ovillos x 200 metros = 1000 metros

Nuevo hilo alternativo:
DROPS AIR: 50 g = 150 metros

Comenzar con el hilo con el metraje más corto = 1000 metros
Dividir por el número de metros de DROPS Air:
1000 metros dividido por 150 metros = 6.7 ovillos; o sea 7 ovillos

Resultado:
300 g DROPS BabyAlpaca-Silk
125 g DROPS Kid-Silk
son sustituidos por:
350 g DROPS Air

Als je 2 garens wilt combineren heb je 2 keer de totale looplengte nodig. Nu heb je een totale looplengte van 3150 en als je 2 verschillende garens wilt gebruiken moet je ervoor zorgen dat je voor elk garen een totale looplengte hebt van 3150 m.

Dear Maire, ICE was a group E yarn, so you could substitute it with 2 group C yarns. For example, you could use 2 threads of Big Merino or 1 of Big Merino and 1 of Brushed Alpaca Silk. For lighter weather (like summer) you could use 2 threads of Paris. Happy knitting!

Dear Nuala, Cotton Merino is a dk/worsted yarn and belongs to yarn group B - as long as you get the same tension (adjust needle size if needed) you can use this yarn. Make sure to check your tension first - and calculate the new amount of yarn. Happy knitting!

Dear Mrs Bogdana, you would have then to work with 2 strands Baby Merino (to get a thickness yarn group C) + 1 strand Brushed Alpaca Silk (yarn group C) - if you use only 1 strand Baby Merino, your tension will be completely different, you might have to recalculate the whole pattern - or get helped with vest patterns worked with a yarn group D/or your tension. DROPS Karisma og DROPS Alpaca tilhører 2 forskjellige garngrupper (forskjellige tykkelser), og man kan ikke bare bytte til et tynnere garn til en oppskrift som er skrevet med et tykkere garn. Ta heller titt på oppskrift DROPS Extra 0-1217, DROPS Extra 0-1216 eller 22-37. Det er oppskrifter på votter som er skrevet for garn i garngruppe A. mvh DROPS Design

Dear Marjory, DROPS Kid-Silk is still available in this color. However, we currently don't have a substitute for DROPS Lace. That's why we suggest working with DROPS Sky, instead of Lace and Kid-Silk; it's an alpaca yarn. However, you won't be using Kid-Silk in this case, because the end result will be thicker than the original garment. Happy knitting!

Buongiorno Claudia, in questo modello DROPS Sky viene utilizzato in alternativa a DROPS Kid-Silk, non Lace. DROPS Lace era un filato del gruppo A, quindi può sostituirlo ad esempio con Alpaca che ha tante varietà di colore, oppure con Flora o Nord. Per la quantità necessaria, può seguire le indicazioni riportate nella lezione sopra. Buon lavoro!

Bonjour Mme Thorez, si vous avez la même tension avec 1 laine du groupe A + 1 laine du groupe B que pour une laine du groupe C, calculez le métrage nécessaire pour la laine du groupe C pour avoir le métrage nécessaire dans les 2 laines (il vous faudra la même longueur dans les 2 laines). Votre magasin saura vous aider si besoin, même par mail ou téléphone. Certains des magasins français livrent en Europe, n'hésitez pas à les contacter. Bon tricot!
