How to read a size chart

You will find the size chart for each garment below the patterns. It will have all the measurement for each size we have in this pattern. If you follow the pattern and keep the tension/gauge the garment will have the same size as the schematic drawing.

If you think it is hard to decide what size to make, if can be a good idea to measure a sweater you have and like the size of. Then you can pick the size by looking at the size chart and find the correct size there.

If your sweater is approx 60 cm in length, the chest circumfence is 96 cm and the hip circumfence is 108 cm. Then this will be equivalent to size L in this size chart.

Circumfence at the bottom = 54 cm x 2 = 108 cm all the way round!

Chest circumfence = 48 cm x 2 = 96 cm all the way around the chest!

Hei Marita. I eksemplet "Hvordan lese en målskisse" er det en genser uten halskant eller vrangbord ved ermene/bolen. Da er målene regnet inn i målskissen. Om du ser på en målskisse til en genser med halskant / vrangbord, se f.eks DROPS 196-6, vil du se at det står tall ved halskanten, ermene og nede på bolen. mvh DROPS design

Buongiorno Monica, se fa riferimento al modello 165-35, è stato progettato per essere lavorato in tondo ma è possibile adattarlo alla lavorazione in piano. In caso contrario deve scrivere direttamente nella pagina del modello che le interessa. Buon lavoro!

Dear Dawn, size 7/8 in this pattern is 3rd size - you start front piece with 108 sts and cast off for armhole 3 stitches at the beg of next 2 rows = 102 sts remain, then cast off 2 sts at the beg of next 4 rows = 94 sts remain and finally cast off 1 st at the beg of next 2 rows = 92 sts remain.
