Nämä pystysuorat napinlävet olemme tehneet kaksinkertaiseen reunaan. Kun teet kaksinkertaisen reunan, käytä mielummin lankaa lankaryhmästä A tai sitä ohuempaa lankaa. Tässä käytämme kuitenkin lankaryhmän B lankaa, jotta tekniikka erottuisi paremmin. Loput puserosta voidaan neuloa paksummasta langasta, tarkista kuitenkin, että värit ovat yhteensopivia. Reikä tehdään pienestä määrästä paksumpaa lankaa, sama kuin reunassa. Tee sopiva määrä silmukoita paksummalla langalla (napin mittojen mukaan), aloita ja lopeta nurjalla silmukalla. Luo sitten sama määrä silmukoita paksumman langan toisella päällä. Neulo vielä muutama krs, vedä sitten paksumman langan molemmat päät silmukan läpi ja kiristä aukko umpeen, Älä kiristä liikaa. That's an interesting and neat-looking way to do a horizontal buttonhole, but it sure isn't a vertical one! A vertical buttonhole would be vertical to the direction of knitting, no matter what direction you're working on the sweater.

Dear Mrs Ledermann, the basic technique is explained above the video, you have then to follow the pattern as it is explained for the number of sts for each buttonhole (which depends to the yarn worked, the tension worked, the size of the buttons, etc. ie the pattern you are working on).
