How to knit steek and cut open
Knit the steeks for e.g. armholes as follows;
inc 5 sts on each side by marker (these 5 sts are for cutting up later and should not be knitted into the pattern). After bind off sew a marking thread down the middle of inc sts.
Sew two seams on sewing machine each side of marking thread. Remove marking thread and cut between seams.

08.09.2011 - 23:57Ty for posting the video. i wouldn't have thought of using the zigzag stitch on my machine. and that really helps prevent ravelling. i'm almost there, i got the body all done. i grafted the shoulders tho, so i guess i'll hafta stitch all the way up (i hate sewing seams lol)
