How to crochet broomstick lace
Created by using a crochet hook and a thick knitting needle. Traditionally a broomstick was used, but a big lightweight needle as the one we use in our video works better.
The larger needle the lacier effect. The fabric created is soft yet stable, and well-suited for scarfs and blankets where an interesting lacy effect may be desired.
The base of the pattern is a chain stitch. The number of ch stitches are normally multiples of 3 through 6, in our video we used 5. We start with 15 ch which is 3 times 5.
Row 1: Pick up a loop through each of the ch stitches and transfer loops onto the needle.
Row 2: Work sts from the needle by sliding them off in groupings of 5 at a time and working the 5 double crochet stitches through the top of each group of loops at the same time.
Row 3: Pick up a loop through each of the dc and transfer them onto the needle.
Repeat row 2-3.

Bonjour Mme Laprise, tricotez un échantillon avec la laine et les aiguilles souhaitées pour votre couverture et calculez le nombre de mailles nécessaire pour la taille choisie. Votre magasin saura vous conseiller, même par mail ou téléphone. Bon crochet!

Buongiorno Ida, il punto broomstick è lavorato su righe non in tondo, nelle spiegazioni del modello 158-13 è descritto come fare per passare le m sul f 20 per lavorare il motivo traforato: "PUNTO TRAFORATO BROOMSTICK: RIGA 1 (= rovescio del lavoro): Trasferire la prima cat sul ferro n° 20, * puntare l’uncinetto nel filo anteriore della m successiva, estrarre 1 m e trasferirla, lasciandola molto morbida, sul ferro n° 20 *, ripetere da *-* su tutta la riga. Tutte le m della riga sono ora sul ferro n° 20." E poi si prosegue con la riga 2. Buon lavoro!!
