Linha de salvamento ou lifeline em tricô

Quando se tricota um ponto rendado ou um ponto fantasia, acrescentar uma linha de salvamento ou uma lifeline pode ajudá-la a evitar muitos problemas. Depois de ter terminado 1 repetição completa do ponto, passar, como nós o fazemos no vídeo, um fio dental com a ajuda de uma agulha por todas as malhas que estão na agulha de tricotar. Desta maneira, se, numas carreiras mais acima, se enganar, pode sempre desmanchar facilmente o trabalho até à linha de salvamento sem correr quaisquer riscos. Basta voltar a colocar as malhas na agulha de tricô e continuar a tricotar. Depois de tricotado a repetição seguinte do ponto rendado ou do ponto fantasia, acrescente uma nova linha de salvamento.
Usar fio dental é muito prático porque é fácil de o retirar da peça, no fim, mas, também, porque é fino e porque nunca se parte.
