How to cast off with picot = knit 2 together, strand round stitches and 1 stitch in between
BEFORE STARTING THE VIDEO:
We have already worked a few cms of rib and cast off some stitches with picot.
THE VIDEO SHOWS:
* Slip the next stitch (= knitted stitch) from the left to the right needle without twisting it (= 2 stitches on the right needle). Take the strand between the needles and in front of the piece, slip the 2 stitches from the right needle back onto the left needle without twisting them. Take the strand to the front and around these 2 stitches, then to the back of the piece again.
Knit these 2 stitches together and work 1 stitch (knitted or purled so it matches the stitch below). On the right needle, pass the 2nd stitch over the 1st stitch * = 1 decreased stitch.
Repeat *-* until all stitches are cast off.
