How to work the wrist warmers in DROPS 190-33

In this DROPS video we show how to work after chart A.1 (size S/M) to the “Geline” wrist warmers in DROPS 190-33. We have already worked 7 rounds and start the video by the black star. Read under the icon explanation in the pattern how to work the round. Then we show how to work the wave pattern, and then how to cast off without assembly.

These wrist warmers are worked in DROPS Baby AlpacaSilk, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow.
You must read the pattern and look at the chart to be able to follow this video properly. You’ll find the pattern by clicking on the picture below.

Hello, I don't see where the pattern says: "the 4th row in A.1 is worked over 2 sts, this means you work (knit 2 together, 1 yarn over) all the round. " Where does it say that? The pattern reads: Work 2 RIDGES – see description above, then work the first 6 rounds in diagram A.1. The 4th row of A.1 is: Knit 4 stitches together as follows: etc, etc. Please see what the actual pattern is written out as. Where does it say to K2tog, yarn over, working over 2 sts?

Dear Deborah, you repeat the row 4 of the diagram A.1 the whole round, ie you repeat the diagram all the round over all stitches, ie you work the whole round with (K2 tog, YO). The 4th round of the diagram (read from bottom up) is the eyelet row, just as shown in the video. Happy knitting!

Repeating my last question as I forgot to clarify I am at the very end of the pattern where we are told to work the first 6 rounds of Diag. A1 again. At the end of working the 4th round of Diagram A, I'm ending up with an extra 2 stitches. It's not enough stitches to work across the chart. Not sure what is going on here. How many stiches should I have before round 4 and how many after round 4 is worked?

Dear Deborah, the 4th row in A.1 is worked over 2 sts, this means you work (knit 2 together, 1 yarn over) all the round. You then knit 2 more rounds and choose your cast off row without assembly (see video time code approx. 12:55) or with assembly. Happy knitting!

In the pattern it says nothing about turning under and joining a few rows after the cast on. I just now found this video and I'm done except for the cast off. Where is this information supposed to be inserted in the pattern? It would help to have it written out. Not sure what to do now?

Dear Deborah, the black star in A.1 shows that on this row you have to fold the row of holes to create the hem - if you didn't make it during the diagram, you can sew it together as shown in this video. Happy knitting!
