In this DROPS video we show how you can knit a pretty and feminine hem (edge) with picots.

You knit an eyelet row and this row is then where we do the fold and from where all length measures in pattern are measured. So knit a couple of cm/ an inch in stockinette st then work a row from RS like this; *K2 tog, 1 yo*, repeat *-* to end of row. Continue in stockinette or what patterns tells. Afterward fold the bottom edge to inside and sew with neat sts.

Jazeker, dat kan! Je kunt deze rand ook voor de boord aan het einde van een breiwerk maken. Je naait dan de afkantrand (in plaats van de opzetrand) vast aan de verkeerde kant van het breiwerk.

In this video the 6 first / 6 last stitches after the I-cord edge are worked in garter stitches (= the stitches are knitted on every row). In this DROPS video we show how to start a sock with a flounce, like the “Dainty Duo” socks in DROPS 229-19. We cast on with 2 strands, but continue with 1 strand. Then we knit 4 rounds and on the next round we knit all stitches together 2 by 2. Then we work a rib (knit 1 twisted/purl 1).
