Hi, I have searched through all of the videos and I cannot find any that show fair isle knitting with more than 2 colors. If I am using 3 colors, for example, is it the same concept as shown in this video? Thanks for your time.

Bonjour Bita, avec la méthode anglaise/américaine, le fil de pelote est tenu dans la main droite alors que pour la méthode continentale, on tient le fil de pelote dans la main gauche. La façon de tricoter change ensuite peu voir pas du tout en fonction des techniques. Bon tricot!
03.04.2025 - 10:05I am confused! According to the pattern visible in the tutorial above for UK style Fair Isle knitting, the line that is being worked (highlighted in fluoro yellow) starts with two green stitches. However, the knitter knits the first three stitches in green. I don’t understand how this can be.

Dear Mrs Lewis, in the video, we are working the diagram with 1 edge stitch worked in garter stitch on each side, reason why you can see 3 sts in green on the right side (only 2 in diagram, on the row before the one in yellow) and 2 sts green on the left side (just 1 stitch at the end of the row before the one in yellow). 04.06.2022 - 17:18Ich stricke Fair-Isle anders so dass man keine Fäden auf der Rückseite spannen muss und das Ganze wie eingewebt aussieht, das geht so: mit Strickfinger, rechts Farbe 1, links Farbe 2 einhängen und dann auf der rechten Seite den Faden 1 normal re stricken, den Faden 2 von unten her durchholen, dann wieder Farbe 1 von oben normal Faden holen. Auf der Rückseite (li. Maschen) geht das genauso, es ist eine reine Übungssache, also Faden 1 links, Faden 2 unten durchziehen, sieht viel schöner aus.

29.12.2020 - 18:56Hej, har en generell fråga. ska sticka en jättestor kofta i eskimo. kan inte läsa monster for fem ore. kollade ett monster, vinter jul aktig, totalt 1,6kg eskimo i storlek xxxl ska Gora efter måfå två trådar pa hela fram a bak. armarna bara i randigt dvs inga dubbla garn förbrukning. om jag köper 40 bollar dvs 2kg. skulle du tippa det racker? ursäkta utländskt keyboard tack pa forehand linda

Hei Linda. Bruk vår søkemotor og søk på jakke - dame - garngruppe F (= 2 tråder Eskimo), se om det dukker opp en oppskrift / bilde som ligner på det du ønsker å strikke. Deretter kan du bruke vår garnkalkulator (grønn link ved bildet) og regne om hvor mye garn du trenger. God Fornøyelse!
25.10.2020 - 20:22J'ai un problème avec les augmentations en même temps que le jacquard. Actuellement j'ai 179 points et je dois passer en faisant le jacquard à 407. Je ne comprends pas comment augmenter. Pouvez-vous m'aider ?

18.09.2020 - 09:02All sorted. English patterns normally denote each size on the chart (clearly marked) and knit and pearl rows. Managed to work out the pattern in the end and jumper coming on nicely. Many thanks
20.01.2020 - 19:29I am knitting size X1 of this pattern and I cannot get the chart to work out. If there are 16 stitches per pattern (repeated) this does does not divide into the 339 stitches that I have on the needle. Thanks
