Can this pattern be adapted for knitting in the round to avoid having to weave the sides together? What would the converted pattern be?

Dear Julie, probabaly; you then don't need edge sts and you just have to adapt the double moss stitch pattern as well as the garter stich in the round instead of in rows. Happy knitting!

Hei Randi. I videoen er den 60 cm. Men siden luen strikkes frem og tilbake så kan du bruke alt fra 40 cm (kan bli litt trangt å ha alle maskene sammen), 50 cm , 60 cm eller 80 cm. mvh DROPS design

Liebe Undine, in die Anleitung wird die Mütze in Reihen gestrickt, gerne können Sie die Anleitung so anpassen, um sie in Runden zu stricken. Viel Spaß beim stricken!

I knitted this hat for all the male members of my family this Christmas (I did Fair Isle ones for the women). I knitted them in Scheejes Stonewashed XL, which gives a lovely tweedy texture. I varied the pattern for each hat, just using the basic number of stitches. The most successful were the ones I did with a moss stitch welt, followed by stocking stitch with a diagonal purl stitch leading to a whorl on the decrease. I sewed leather tags on with 'Handmade by (my name) The guys love them!

If I wanted to knit this in an 8 ply wool could I use the larger size pattern to achieve the smaller size hat in the 8ply.

Dear Mrs Evans, if you want to use a thinner yarn, you would have to calculate the whole pattern to be sure it will be matching with your knitting tension. For any further indvidual assistance please contact the store where you bought the yarn - even per mail or telephone. Happy knitting!

Tak for vedion,hjalp rigtigt meget. Masker til voksen large passer ikke til mit strik, brugte et andet garn samt pind på 3. Wool slik garn (hjertebarn) det er nok derfor? Skal måske ellers bruge flere masker end beregnet? Hilsen Emiilia
