How to crochet a calla flower

In this DROPS video we show how we crochet a Calla flower. We make it in DROPS Snow, but the small Calla in the video is made in DROPS Safran, crochet hook size. 3, color no. 18, 11 and 31, and it weighs about 10 gr and measures 27 cm.

Color 1:
Work 5 ch and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
Round 1: 1 ch, 8 dc in ch-ring and finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc from beg of round.
Round 2: 2 ch, 2 htr in each of the next 3 dc, 2 dc in each of the next 2 dc, 2 htr in each of the next 3 dc. Finish with 1 sl st in 1st htr on round.
Round 3: 2 ch, * 1 htr in each of the next 2 sts, 2 htr in next st, 1 htr in each of the next 2 sts, 2 htr in next st, 2 tr in each of the next 4 sts, 2 htr in next st, 1 htr in each of the next 2 sts, 2 htr in next st, 2 htr in each of the next 2 sts, finish with 1 sl in 1st htr on round.
Round 4: 2 ch, * 1 htr in each of the next 2 sts, 2 htr in next st, * repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in 1st htr on round.
Round 5: 2 ch, * 1 htr in each of the next 3 sts, 2 htr in next st, * repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in 1st htr on round.
Round 6: 2 ch, * 1 htr in each of the next 4 sts, 2 htr in next st, * repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in 1st htr on round.
Round 7: 2 ch, 1 htr in each of the next 22 sts, 1 tr in each of next 2 sts, 2 dtr in next st, ch 3, 1 sl st in 1st ch, 2 dtr in same st, 1 tr in each of the next 2 sts, 1 htr in each of the 21 next sts and finish with 1 sl st in 1st htr on round. Cut the thread, but leave enough thread for assembly.

Color 2:
Work 12 ch, * 1 dc in the back loop in 2nd ch from hook, continue with 1 dc in back loops in each ch, in last ch, work 2 dc, turn the piece and work dc in each ch in the back loop the entire row, and finish with 2 dc in last ch. Work 1 round with dc in every dc the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in the 1st dc on the round. Cut the thread, but leave enough thread to sew up the piece. Bend the piece double and sew together *. Cut and fasten threads.

Color 3:
Work 45 ch. Work *-* (optionally: place a wire inside). Cut and fasten threads.

Sew flower stalk and the stem in the flower leaf.
