W komentarzu pod konkretnym wzorem wyślij do nas pytanie, napisz jaki rozmiar przerabiasz i wtedy będę mogła udzielić Ci bardziej konkretnej pomocy. Pozdrawiamy!

I am knitting pattern 231-59 on circular needles and cannot see how the instructions given for diagonal shoulders work to give a final length of 66 cm(size XL) when only 3 rows on the shoulder has been knitted. Instructions for a diagonal shoulder in your help videos show more rows with increases. Do you have a video specific to this pattern please. I am grateful for any help. Thank you

07.02.2024 - 15:47:

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Mrs McKay, you can slip the Middle 8 stitches on a thread (see video or on a stitch holder) , then you will just have to cast off the stitches for neck at the beginning of every row from neck (each shoulder is finished separately). Happy knitting!

He Jane.

Dear Mrs Keefe, for the hat you first purl 1 round then work in stocking stitch in the round, ie knit all rounds until you reach the height to work M.1. Happy knitting!

Drops 88-20. Girls 3rd size Front only. Hi thank you for your response but this didn’t answer my query. 1. First row (front). 83 sts (incl ch3turn). Repeat *-*. Once repeats are done x9 then dc x 2 there are 22 dc. Correct - but what about the remaining sts? Is this done along the row? If so it doesn’t work out. ‘Establish the pattern’ There are no instructions as to how many dc are to be done before/after pattern only ‘continue with dc at each side’. Too vague. ‘

29.01.2024 - 18:27:

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Ali, for the front piece you are working two halves of the front piece with Diagram 2 in the middle. From the beginning to when you get 22 dc is one half of the front piece, then you work as indicated in "work as follows" in the same round. This would correspond to Diagram 2 and the last 22 dc is the other half. So it would be all the same round from "The first row is worked as follows" to "turn the piece". Now, diagram 2 is worked over the stitches between the 22dc on each side. Happy knitting!

Drops 88-20 Girls. The written instructions don’t make any sense (to me) 1. 1st row. Is the skip 1ch, 1dc in following 2 chain repeated along row? It just doesn’t work out. 2. Pattern. How many dc each side before pattern starts in middle? I’ve already finished the back for this top without too much trouble but the front is just a complete mystery to me. Please help as I’m very close to putting it in the bin!

28.01.2024 - 22:26:

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Ali, the first row works out fine. For example, for size 5/6 years in the back piece you have 73 ch. 3 of the ch. Now, start the row with 1 dc in the 4th ch. You should have 69 ch left in the row. Now skip the next ch and work 1 dc in the next 2 chain stitches. Repeat this 23 times in total and you will reach the end of the row. You should have 47 dc + (as stated in Crochet info) 3 chain stitches that count as 1 dc. For the front piece, you only repeat this a certain amount of times, as stated in the pattern. Which size are you working, so that we may indicate the exact number of dc before the charts? Happy crocheting!

Bon tricot!

Hilary Wass wrote:

I am really struggling with the increases in pattern 237-31. the insrtuctions are clear but how in the world do I keep track of the increases that are every other row, or simultaneous, or both before and after the pattern? I have tried writing it all out but that is even worse! Help, please.

25.01.2024 - 21:09:

DROPS Design answered:

Dear Hilary, you could use markers for these. For example, you could use differently coloured markers for the increases every 2nd round and every 4th round. After working an increase, put the marker on the increased stitch and continue working upwards. Then you just need to count how many rounds since the previous increase to keep track on when to increase and where. You could also hang a chain of markers on the increased stitch (for example 1 extra marker for those worked every 2nd round) and everytime you work the stitch in the round you take out one marker from the chain. Happy knitting!
