Hi! I have a pattern that calls for an alpaca type yarn that has a gauge of 18st x 28sts = 10 x10cm. What Drops yarn could I use to substitute even if I hold 2 strands together?

Baby alpaca/silk 70/30% is the best wool I have used for knitting as really soft. Why would you want to discontinue such a great wool. I have not found any alternative so no happy knitting anymore

Mitt favoritt garn å strikke i er Baby alpaca silk, veldig trist å høre at det har gått ut.. Nå lurer jeg på hva jeg skal bruke i istedenfor, da jeg liker tykkelsen på nettopp det garnet og ikke vil ha det tykkere, men den samme myke, lette, kløfrie kvaliteten som det garnet har/hadde?

I'm a beginner knitter and I was wondering what it means to knit with 2 strands of baby Alpaca silk ?does it mean to litterally use 2 strands from 2balls of yarn A+A Or does it refer to the name of the yarn "2 strands of baby Alpaca silk " ?
I love your winter hat patterns and some are made of 2 strands Baby Alpaca silk yarn. I've never knit using 2 balls of yarn together so not sure how it goes ?
