Hej Eva, den her kofta er lidt mere oversize.

I knitted several projects in size M from Garnstudio patterns and they fit me very well. But for this project, I found that size M has a width of 60cm, even size S has a width of 56cm, it sounds too wide fir me. Also from the picture of the model, this pattern is not a loose fitting one. Why?

Goedendag! Mijn borstomvang is 96 cm.

Buon lavoro!

I've rechecked the tension on the stocking stitch part of the pattern and it is correct. According to the calculation I should need 475g of the Merino ExtraFine. However knitting the right front, I've had to start a new ball less than half way up the piece. There is no way that 10 balls will be enough for the whole garment. What have I done wrong - or is there a problem with the yarn or the pattern? I'm an experienced knitter and am very confused.

Dear Numbercruncher, it's quite difficult to answer there, do not hesitate to bring your work to your Store or show them a picture of your work per mail, they should be able to help you. Happy knitting!

I've been knitting Pattern no cm-019 using Drops merino extra fine, which seems to be equivalent in tension/yardage to Drops cotton merino. I've checked the tension carefully and it's correct, but halfway up the first side it's clear I won't have nearly enough yarn, even though I bought 500g instead of the 450g specified. Any thought or ideas? Many thanks
04.07.2017 - 12:32DROPS Design answered:
Dear Numbercruncher, did you kept same tension as for your swatch? Did you calculate new amount of yarn for Merino Extra Fine following this calculation? Happy knitting!

When piece measures 38-37-36-35-32-31 cm / 15"-14½"-14¼"-13¾"-12½"-12¼" (shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of longer sleeve cap and wider shoulders) bind off for sleeve cap in each side at beg of every row as follows: bind off 3-3-3-3-2-2 sts in each side of piece until piece measures 42-42-42-42-41-41 cm / 16½"-16½"-16½"-16½"-16"-16", then bind off the remaining sts. ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams. Sew in sleeves in body, sew underarm and side seams in one inside 1 edge st in garter st. Sew the buttons on to the left band. NECK EDGE: Worked back and forth on needle. Pick up 105-125 sts around the neck (includes sts on stitch holders) on circular needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 with Cotton Merino. Work 2 ridges.
