Liebe Eva, bei dem Huhn wird die Maschenanzahl durch 4 teilbar: 32 Maschen werden angeschlagen, und jeweils 4 Maschen abgenommen. Viel Spaß beim stricken!

Knitting tip: Work all YO into back of loop on return row to avoid a hole. Decreasing tip: Dec 4 sts on row by K tog the 2 first sts on each needle. Easter Chicken: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 32 sts on double pointed needles 5 mm with 2 threads yellow/beige (= 8 sts on each needle). K 1 round, P 1 round and then K 18 rounds. Now continue to K all sts at the same time dec 4 sts – read dec.tip! on every 4th row a total of 5 times = 12 sts. K 12 rounds. Work next round as follows: * K2, YO, * repeat *-* = 18 sts. K 1 round – read Knitting tip! Work next round as follows: * K2, YO *, repeat *-* = 27 sts. K 5 rounds. Work next row as follows: * K1, K2 tog *, repeat *-* = 18 sts. K 2 rounds. Work next round as follows: *K1, K2 tog *, repeat *-* = 12 sts. K1 round. Now change to 2 threads orange and knit beak. Felting: To prevent head and neck felting tog, put a small plastic bag inside chicken. Fasten chicken tog with a safety pin so that the bag doesn’t slip out during washing. Put chicken in washing machine with detergent without enzymes or bleach. Wash at 40 ºC / 104 ºF with normal spin and without pre-wash. Afterwards, shape chicken while still wet. Assembly: Use a dark thread for eyes. Tie a knot and pull the thread through. Tie threads tog on inside. To make the easter chicken stand more steadily fill the neck and head with wadding or similar. _____________________________________________ Felted DROPS easter bunny in 2 threads "Alpaca". Measurement (after felting): appr 15 cm. Materials: DROPS Alpaca from Garnstudio 50 g colour no. 1101, white 50 g colour no. 0501, light/grey 50 g colour no. 3140, light/pink DROPS Double pointed needles size 5 mm – or needle size needed to make 17 sts x 22 rows in stocking sts with 2 threads Alpaca on 10 x 10 cm. DROPS Crochet hook size 2 mm – for nose Knitting tip: Work all YO into back of loop on return row to avoid a hole. Dec 8 sts on round as follows: K tog the first 2 sts on each needle into back of loop and K tog the 2 last sts on each needle. Increasing tip: Inc 1 st each side within 1 edge st by making a yo. K 1 round, P 1 round and then K 20 rounds. Now continue to K all sts at the same time dec 8 sts – read dec.tip! on every 4th row a total of 3 times = 16 sts. K 6 rounds. Work next round as follows: * K2,1 YO *, repeat *-* = 24 sts. K 1 round – read Knitting tip! Work next round as follows: * K3, YO *, repeat *-* = 32 sts. K 6 rounds. Work next round as follows: * K2, K2 tog *, repeat *-* = 24 sts. K 1 round. Woprk next round as follows: * K1, K2 tog *, repeat *-* = 16 sts. K 1 round. On next round knit all sts tog 2 by 2 = 8 sts. Repeat on next round = 4 sts. Cut the thread, pull through the remaining sts, pull tog and sew away ends on inside. Ears: Cast on 9 sts on needle 5 mm with 1 white and 1 light/grey thread. Work stocking sts back and forth for approx 5 cm. Place 1 marker in centre st. On next row (from RS) start dec as follows: work stocking sts until 1 st rem before marker, slip 1 st, K2 tog, psso. Continue to dec like this on every other row until 1 st rem on needle. Cut the thread and pull through the rem st. Sew on ears carefully on each side of bunnys head. Nose: The nose is crocheted. Crochet 3 ch with crochet hook 2 mm with 1 thread light/pink and close to a ring with 1 sl st in the first ch. Crochet 1 ch and then 6 dc in ring. Finish with 1 sl st in ch from beg of round. Crochet 3 ch, then crochet 1 tr in each dc, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. Cut the thread. Pull tog and sew nose to mid front on bunny's head. Fasten the thread carefully. Sack: Sack can be knitted in stripes by using rem of other colors in Alpaca. Cast on 10 sts on needle 5 mm with 2 threads light pink. Work garter sts until finished measurements. At the same time on 2nd row inc 1 st each side – read inc.tip! on every other row a total of 8 times = 26 sts. Then K 12 rows before casting/binding of loosely. Sew sack on back of bunny so that the upper 12 rows without inc are sewn to where dec for the neck were made. Felting: To prevent head and neck felting tog, put a small plastic bag inside bunny. Fasten bunny tog with a safety pin so that the bag doesn’t slip out during washing. Do the same with bunnys sack. Put bunny in washing machine with detergent without enzymes or bleach. Wash at 40 ºC / 104 ºF with normal spin and without pre-wash. Afterwards, shape bunny while still wet. Assembly: Use dark thread for eyes. Tie a knot and pull thread through. Tie threads tog on inside. To make the bunny stand more steadily fill the neck and head with wadding or similar. AFTER FELTING: If the piece is not felted enough and is too big: Wash the piece one more time in the washing machine while it is still wet add a terry towel that measures approx. 50 x 70 cm = 19¾" x 27½" - NOTE: Do not use a short program. If the piece has been felted too much and is too small: While the piece is still wet stretch it to the correct measurements, if the piece is dry, make sure to soak it first. Remember: All subsequent washes are as a normal wool garment. |
