Gauge: 2 repeats wide (24 sts) and 30 rows in Pattern = approx. 9 x 10 cm.
Pattern: The pattern is showing all rows seen from the right side.
Front: Cast on 98-110-122-134-146-158 sts around 2 needles with 1 strand Safran + 1 strand Glitter (2 strands), pull out one needle and knit 2 rows garter st (1st row = right side). Then knit Pattern 1, keeping 1 edge st at each side in garter st.
When the piece measures 10 cm inc 1 st at each side every 5 cm a total of 5 times = 108-120-132-144-156-168 sts – knit the increased sts in stockinette st. When the piece measures 36-37-38-39-40-41 cm bind off for armhole at each side every other row: 3 sts 1-1-2-2-3-3 times, 2 sts 0-2-3-3-4-6 times and 1 st 2-4-5-5-6-8 times = 98-98-98-110-110-110 sts – be sure the number of sts is correct for Pattern.
Continue in Pattern, keeping 1 edge st at each side in garter st. When the piece measures 45-47-48-50-52-53 cm to dec 6-6-6-8-8-8 sts evenly distributed over the center 24-24-24-34-34-34 sts (knit the remaining sts as before). On the next row bind off the center 24-24-24-34-34-34 sts for the neck. Then bind off at each neck edge every other row: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 4 times = 26 sts remain on each shoulder. Continue in Pattern, keeping 1 edge st at each side in garter st. When the piece measures 54-56-58-60-62-64 cm dec 4 sts evenly distributed on each shoulder, and on the next row bind off all sts.
Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front.
Bind off for armhole as on front. When the piece measures 54-56-58-60-62-64 cm dec 6-6-6-8-8-8 sts evenly distributed over the center 36-36-36-46-46-46 sts. On the next row bind off the center 36-36-36-46-46-46 sts for the neck. Dec 1 st at each neck edge every other row 2 times = 26 sts remain on each shoulder.
Sleeve: Cast on 74-74-86-86-98-98 sts around 2 needles with 1 strand Safran + 1 strand Glitter (2 strands). Pull out one needle and knit 2 rows garter st (1st row = right side). Knit Pattern, keeping 1 edge st at each side in garter st.
When the piece measures 2 cm inc 1 st at each side every 2.5-1.5-2-1.5-2-1 cm a total of 6-10-8-10-7-11 times = 86-94-102-106-112-120 sts.
When the piece measures 19-19-19-18-17-17 cm bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 4 sts 1 time, 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 3-3-3-4-4-5 times and 1 st 1-2-3-4-5-6 times. Then bind off 2 sts at each side until the piece measures 25-26-27-27-27-28 cm, then bind off 3 sts 1 time at each side. Then dec 7-7-9-9-12-12 sts evenly distributed over the remaining sts, and on the next row bind off all sts. The piece measures approx. 26-27-28-28-28-29 cm.
Assembly: Sew shoulder seams.
Neckband: Pick up approx. 100-126 sts around the neck on short circular needles with 1 strand Safran + 1 strand Glitter (2 strands). Join and P 1 row, K 1 row, and P 1 row, then K and bind off all sts on the next row. Sew in sleeves using edge sts as seam allowance. Sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance.
