CARDIGAN:

Gauge: 17 sts x 21 rows on larger needles in stockinette st and Pattern 1 = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"].

Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows.

Pattern: See chart. The pattern is seen from the right side and is knit entirely in stockinette stitch.

Note: Passion has a tendency to twist as it is knit. For best results, untwist the yarn as you go along.

Back: Cast on 72-80-86-92 sts on smaller needles with light beige Muskat. Knit 2 rows garter st, change to larger needles and knit Pattern 1 in stockinette st to finished measurements. When the piece measures 6 cm [2 3/8"] inc 1 st at each side 3-3-3-4 times every 7-7-8-6 cm [2.75" - 2.75" - 3 1/8" - 2 3/8"] = 78-86-92-100 sts. When the piece measures 31-32-34-35 cm [12.25" - 12 5/8" - 13 3/8" - 13.75"] bind off 4 sts for armhole at each side = 70-78-84-92 sts. Then dec 1 st at each side for raglan every other row 18-18-15-13 times and then every row 0-4-10-16 times.
At the same time when the piece measures 48-50-52-54 cm [18 7/8" - 19.75" - 20.5" - 21.25"] bind off the center 30 sts for the neck = 2 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 49-51-53-55 cm [19.25" - 20" - 20 7/8" - 21 5/8"].

Left front: Cast on 38-42-45-48 sts on smaller needles with beige Muskat. Knit 2 rows garter st. Change to larger needles and knit Pattern 1 in stockinette st, keeping 1 edge st at center front in garter st throughout. When the piece measures 6 cm [2 3/8"] inc at the side as on back = 41-45-48-52 sts. When the piece measures 31-32-34-35 cm [12.25" - 12 5/8" - 13 3/8" - 13.75"] bind off 4 sts at the side for armhole = 37-41-44-48 sts. Then dec 1 st at each side for raglan every other row 18-18-15-13 times and then every rows 0-4-10-16 times. At the same time when the piece measures 45-47-49-51 cm [17.75" - 18.5" - 19.25" - 20"] bind off 11 sts at center front edge for neck. Then bind off for the neck every other row: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 2 times. After all neck and raglan shaping is complete 2 sts remain. Bind off when the piece measures 49-51-53-55 cm [19.25" - 20" - 20 7/8" - 21 5/8"].

Right front: Cast on and knit the same as the left reversing all shaping, but make buttonholes along button band as you go along. 1 buttonhole = bind off the 3rd st from edge and on the next row yo over the bound off st. Make buttonholes when the piece measures:
Size S: 4, 14, 24, 34 and 44 cm
[1.5", 5.5", 9.5", 13-3/8" and 17.25"]
Size M: 6, 16, 26, 36 and 46 cm
[2 3/8", 6.25", 10.25", 14 1/8" and 18 1/8"]
Size L: 3, 12, 21, 30, 39 and 48 cm
[1.25", 4.75", 8.25", 11.75", 15.25" and 18 7/8"]
Size XL: 5, 14, 23, 32, 41 and 50 cm
[2", 5.5", 9", 12 5/8", 16 1/8" and 19.75"]

Sleeve: Cast on 36-38-40-42 sts on smaller needles with beige Passion. Knit 4 rows garter st, change to larger needles and knit Pattern 1 in stockinette st. When the piece measures 7 cm [2.75"] inc 1 st at each side every 3.5 cm [1 3/8"] 12-12-11-11 times = 60-62-62-64 sts.
When sleeve measures 49-49-50-50 cm [19.25" - 19.25" - 19.75" - 19.75"] bind off 4 sts at each side = 52-54-54-56 sts. Then dec 1 st at each side for raglan every other row 20-21-21-22 times = 12 sts remain. Bind off, the piece measures approx. 67-68-69-70 cm [26 3/8" - 26.75" - 27 1/8" - 27 5/8"].

Assembly: Sew raglan seams using 1 edge st on each piece as seam allowance. Pick up approx. 75 to 80 sts around the neck on smaller needles with beige Passion. Knit 4 rows garter st, bind off. Sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance. Sew on buttons.

Crocheted edge: With beige Passion, work 1 row sc along both button bands and lower edge around Body - work over 2 rows at lower edge and over 2 edge sts along button bands.

CROCHETED HAT IN MUSKAT:

Sizes: S/M - M/L
Head measurement: 55 - 57 cm [21 5/8" - 22.5"]

Materials: Garnstudio MUSKAT from Garnstudio
100% mercerized Egyptian cotton, 50 g./100 m./109 yards
200-200 g. col. no. 61, light beige.

Alternate yarns:
* Garnstudio DEN-M-NIT, 100% Egyptian cotton, 50 g/92 m./100 yds
* Garnstudio BOMULL-LIN, 53% Egyptian cotton, 47% linen, 50 g./85 m./93 yds
* Garnstudio KARISMA SUPERWASH, 100% superwash wool, 50 g/110 m/120 yards

DROPS 3 mm [US C] crochet hook, or size needed to obtain correct gauge.

Crochet gauge: 21 sc x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"]

Reverse crochet: Crochet sc on right side of work, from left to right without turning work. Crochet 1 sc in every sc from previous row.

Hat: Ch 4 and join into a ring with 1 sl st. Ch 1, 6 sc in the ring, ch 1 to turn.
1st row: 2 sc in every sc from previous row = 12 sc, put a marker at start of row.
2nd row: * 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in the next sc *, repeat from * - * = 18 sc.
3rd row: * 1 sc in the first 2 sc , 2 sc in the next sc *, repeat from * - * = 24 sc.
4th row: * 1 sc in the first 3 sc, 2 sc in the next sc *, repeat from * - * = 30 sc.
5th row: * 1 sc in the first 4 sc, 2 sc in the next sc *, repeat from * - * = 36 sc.
Continue in this manner, increasing 6 sc per row - work 1 sc more between each inc on successive rows - until the piece measures 9.5-10.5 cm [3.75" - 4 1/8"] from ring (the circumference will inc approx. 2 cm [0.75"] every row - continue until circumference = approx. 55-57 cm [21 5/8" - 22.5"]). Then continue with sc without increasing until piece measures approx. 19-20 cm [7.5" - 7 7/8"] from center. On the next row inc as follows: * 2 sc, 2 sc in the next sc *, repeat from * *. Then work 22 rows without increasing =hat brim. Work 1 row reverse crochet around edge - see instructions above. Cut yarn and fasten off.

Assembly: Make a small double edge (= rolled edge) on the outside of hat at the top as follows: with right side out, at the point you stop increasing make a fold and work a row of sc over the 2 layers. Crochet over 2 rows of sc each side of fold, so that 4 rows sc are worked into the rolled edge.
Fold hat brim (the last 22 rows) double to the right side. Attach edge to hat over 2 rows of sc in the same manner as the rolled edge.
