GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.

PATTERN:
See diagram A, B, C, D, E and F. Diagrams show all rows in pattern from RS.

DECREASE TIP:
K 2 tog from RS.

SHAWL:
Worked in 2 parts that are sewn tog in the middle when finished.
Worked back and forth on circular needle to make room for all the sts.
Cast on 99 sts on circular needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 with 1 strand Alpaca. Work as follows: 3 edge sts in GARTER ST - see explanation above, PATTERN according to diagram A.1 over 10 sts, A.2 over the next 72 sts, A.3 over 11 sts, 3 edge sts in garter st on the remaining 3 sts.
Continue the same way with 3 edge sts in garter st in each side and with diagram A.1, A.2 and A.3 until all diagrams have been worked 1 time vertically = 79 sts on needle. On next row from RS work as follows: 3 edge sts in garter st, B.1 over 8 sts, B.2 over the next 56 sts, B.3 over 9 sts, 3 edge sts in garter st. Continue with pattern according to diagram B and 3 edge sts in garter st in each side until the entire repetition has been worked 1 time vertically = 69 sts on needle.
Then work as follows: 3 edge sts in garter st, pattern according to diagram C until 3 sts remain, AT THE SAME TIME dec 6 sts evenly on 1st row in diagram C - but not over edge sts – see DECREASE TIP, 3 edge sts in garter st = 63 sts on needle.
When diagram C has been worked 1 time vertically, continue as follows: 3 edge sts in garter st, D.1 over 7 sts, D.2 over 48 sts, D.3 over 2 sts, 3 edge sts in garter st.
Continue with pattern according to diagram D and 3 edge sts in garter st in each side until 9 repetitions have been worked vertically and piece measures approx. 80 cm / 31½’’. Work 2 ridges in garter st.
Put all sts on a stitch holder.
Knit another piece the same way.

ASSEMBLY:
Graft/sew the 2 pieces tog stitch by stitch.

WRIST WARMERS:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 60 sts on double pointed needles size 3 mm / US 2.5 with Alpaca. K 1 round and P 1 round.
On next round work according to diagram E (= 5 repetitions in width).
When diagram E has been worked 1 time vertically, there are 40 sts on needle.
Work next round as follows: K 19, work diagram F (= 12 sts), K 9. Continue like this until diagram F has been worked 5 times vertically. Now work diagram C over all sts.
Then K 1 round and P 1 round, loosely bind off. Knit another wrist warmer the same way.
