NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inch - click here.
There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here.

GARTER ST (in the round on circular needle):
* K 1 round and P 1 round *, repeat from *-*. 1 ridge = 2 rounds.
PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 and A.2.
DECREASE TIP (applies to raglan):
From RS:
Dec as follows after marker: K 1, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso.
Dec as follows 3 sts before marker: K 2 tog and K 1.
KNITTING TIP:
If knitting gauge is incorrect in height and the knitting is too tight, the raglan dec will be too short and the armholes too small. This can be adjusted by working 1 extra row without dec evenly spaced between dec. If the piece is worked too loosely, adjust by working dec rows more often than written in pattern.
----------------------------------------------------------
BODY:
Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 142-154-170-182-202-222 sts on circular needle size 6 mm / US 10 with one strand Alpaca and 1 strand Kid-Silk (= 2 strands).
Work 3 ridges in garter st - see explanation above. Insert 1 marker in each side (= 71-77-85-91-101-111 sts between markers on front and back piece). Insert 1 marker in the middle st on back piece.
Now work short rows in stockinette st to make back piece longer than front piece.
Work 25-29-34-38-42-48 sts past marker mid back, turn, tighten yarn, P 50-58-68-76-84-96 sts back.
Turn, tighten yarn, work 52-60-70-78-86-98 sts.
Turn, tighten yarn, P 54-62-72-80-88-100 sts back.
Continue like this by working 2 sts more on every turn until a total of 98-106-116-124-132-144 sts have been worked.
Turn, continue in the round over all sts.
Remove the marker mid back. All measurements are done on the shortest (mid front).
When piece measures 4-5-6-7-8-9 cm / 1½"-2"-2 3/8"-2 3/4"-3 1/8"-3½", continue to work as follows from the side: 17-20-24-27-32-37 sts in stockinette st, A.1 (= 37 sts), 34-40-48-54-64-74 sts in stockinette st, A.1 (= 37 sts), 17-20-24-27-32-37 sts in stockinette st. Continue the pattern like this.
When piece measures 38-39-40-41-42-43 cm / 15-15¼''-15¾''-16 1/8''-16½''-17'', bind off 8 sts in each side for armholes (i.e. 4 sts on each side both of markers) = 63-69-77-83-93-103 sts remain on front and back piece.
Put piece aside and knit the sleeves.
SLEEVE:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles.
Cast on 44-48-48-52-52-56 sts on double pointed needles size 5.5 mm / US 9 with one strand Alpaca and 1 strand Kid-Silk (= 2 strands). K 1 round, then work rib (= K 2/P 2).
When rib measures 6 cm / 2 3/8'', switch to double pointed needles size 6 mm / US 10.
K 1 round while AT THE SAME TIME dec 7-9-9-11-9-11 sts evenly = 37-39-39-41-43-45 sts. Insert 1 marker at beg of round (= mid under sleeve).
Now work as follows: 12-13-13-14-15-16 sts in stockinette st, A.2 (= 13 sts), 12-13-13-14-15-16 sts in stockinette st.
Continue this pattern until finished measurements.
When piece measures 8 cm / 3 1/8'', inc 1 st on each side of marker mid under sleeve.
Repeat inc every 4-3½-2½-2½-2½-2½ cm / 1½"-1 1/4"-7/8"-7/8"-7/8"-7/8" 10-11-13-13-14-14 more times (11-12-14-14-15-15 inc in total) = 59-63-67-69-73-75 sts.
When piece measures 50-50-49-49-48-48 cm / 19¾''-19¾''-19¼''-19¼''-19''-19'' (shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of wider shoulders), bind off 8 sts mid under sleeve (i.e. 4 sts on each side of marker) = 51-55-59-61-65-67 sts.
Put piece aside and knit another sleeve.
YOKE:
Slip sleeves on to same circular needle as body where armholes were bound off = 228-248-272-288-316-340 sts. Now insert 1 marker in every transition between sleeves and body (= 4 markers).
READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SECTION BEFORE CONTINUING:
Continue pattern A.1 and A.2, when A.1 has been worked vertically, work in stockinette st over all sts on front and back piece, continue sleeves as before.
AT THE SAME TIME dec for raglan in every transition between body and sleeves as follows - READ DECREASE TIP and KNITTING TIP:
Dec every other round a total of 16-16-16-17-17-18 times, then every round a total of 1-3-5-5-7-7 times.
After all dec for raglan, 92-96-104-112-124-140 sts remain on round.
Work 2 ridges over all sts while AT THE SAME TIME on 1st round dec 6-8-12-16-26-38 sts evenly = 86-88-92-96-98-102 sts.
Bind off.
ASSEMBLY:
Sew the openings under the sleeves.
