Neulepiirrosten lukeminen

Neulepiirros koostuu ruuduista, 1 ruutu = 1 silmukka. Merkin selitys kertoo miten silmukka neulotaan. Piirros näyttää kaikkia silmukoita oikealta puolelta katsottuna (ellei toisin mainita).

Piirros näyttää tällaiselta:

A.1 on piirroksen nimi, ja se viittaa koko piirrokseen.
A.2 on sulkeissa oleva piirrososa.
Tämä numero viittaa piirroksen ensimmäisen kerroksen silmukoiden määrään.
Tämä on merkin selitys: se kertoo miten silmukka neulotaan tai millä värillä neulotaan.

Neulepiirros luetaan vastakkaiseen suuntaan kuin jos luettaisiin tavallista tekstiä: Oikealta vasemmalle, alhaalta ylös. Eli aloitat oikeasta alakulmasta, ja luet vasemmalle ja ylöspäin (katso PUNAINEN ympyrä ja nuolet alla). Mikäli kerros aloitetaan jollakin muulla silmukalla, tämä kerrotaan erikseen - esimerkiksi eri koissa voidaan aloittaa eri kohdista (katso SININEN neliö alla).

Mikäli kerroksella neulotaan useita mallikertoja piirroksen mukaisesti (eli jos mallikertaa toistetaan), piirroksen kerros neulotaan loppuun, ja tämän jälkeen aloitetaan uudestaan ensimmäisen merkin kohdalta.

Tasoneule:

Kun neulot tasoneuletta, joka toinen kerros neulotaan työn oikealta puolelta ja joka toinen kerros neulotaan työn nurjalta puolelta. Piirros näyttää kaikkia kerroksia oikealta puolelta katsottuna, joten nurjan puolen kerrokset neulotaan vastakkaiseen suuntaan (katso alla olevan piirroksen sininen nuoli): kerros luetaan vasemmalta oikealle, oikeat silmukat neulotaan nurin ja nurjat silmukat neulotaan oikein (piirroksen merkin selityksessä lukee usein: «oikea silmukka oikealta puolelta, nurja silmukka nurjalta puolelta»).

Suljettu neule:

Kun neulot suljettua neuletta, kaikki kerrokset neulotaan työn oikealta puolelta, eli piirros luetaan aina oikealta vasemmalle. Kun aloitat uuden kerroksen neulomisen, siirry piirroksen seuraavan rivin oikean reunan merkin kohdalle (katso alla olevan piirroksen punaiset nuolet).

Useita eri piirroksia peräkkäin:

Mikäli kerroksella neulotaan useiden eri piirrosten mukaisesti, neulo seuraavasti: Neulo ensimmäisen piirroksen rivin silmukat, neulo sitten toisen piirroksen rivin silmukat, neulo kolmannen piirroksen rivin silmukat jne. MUISTA: Jos neulot tasoneuletta, neulo nurjan puolen kerroksella piirrokset vastakkaisessa järjestyksessä: Eli neulo aluksi kolmannen piirroksen silmukat, neulo sitten toisen piirroksen silmukat ja neulo lopuksi ensimmäisen piirroksen silmukat. Lisäksi piirrosten silmukat neulotaan vastakkaisessa järjestyksessä .

Ohjeessa lukee joskus näin: «Neulo mallineuletta piirroksen A.1 mukaisesti, A.2, toista piirroksen A.3 mallikertaa yhteensä 1-1-2-3-4 kertaa». Tässä tapauksessa neulotaan aluksi piirroksen A.1 mallikerta, tämän jälkeen neulotaan piirroksen A.2 mallikerta ja sitten piirroksen A.3 mallikertaa toistetaan 1-1-2-3-4 kertaa (katso halutun koon tiedot). Eli AINOASTAAN piirroksen A.3 mallikertaa toistetaan, piirrosten A.1 ja A.2 mukaisesti neulotaan vain yksi mallikerta.

Kun kaikilla silmukoilla ei voida neuloa kokonaisia mallikertoja:

Joskus kaikilla silmukoilla ei voida neuloa kokonaista mallikertaa. Esimerkki: Piirroksen A.1 mallikerrassa on 12 silmukkaa, ja mallikertaa toistetaan 40 silmukan kohdalla. Neulo tällöin 3 kokonaista piirroksen A.1 mallikertaa (= 36 silmukkaa) ja neulo sitten neljännen mallikerran ensimmäiset 4 silmukkaa (katso punainen viiva alla). Tämä koskee usein piirroksia, joissa kuviot toistuvat, eli neuleen kuvio jatkuu kuitenkin rikkoutumattomana.

Liebe Christine, diese 2 Reihen -mit dem Pfeil- sind verkürzten Reihen, die krausrechts gestrickt sind, dh beginnen Sie mit einer Rückreihe und stricken Sie nur die Maschen in A.3, wenden Sie und stricken Sie die Hinreihe, wenden Sie, und am Ende der letzten Reihe in A.3 (= Rückreihe) sollen Sie die 6 ersten Maschen abketten. Bonjour Mme Guilbert, une fois que vous avez monté toutes les mailles, tricotez toutes les mailles comme indiqué, mais en lisant les diagramme de gauche à droite car le 1er rang des diagrammes se tricote sur l'envers, autrement dit, tricotez les tirets en jersey envers (= à l'endroit sur l'envers) et les cases blanches en jersey endroit (= à l'envers sur l'envers). Bon tricot!

Dear Mrs Galbraith, work as follows: 5 front band sts, A.1 (= 12 sts), repeat now the 10 sts in A.2 a total of 14 times (= over the next 140 sts) and work now the stitch in A.3 and end with 5 front band sts, so that you have: 5+12+140+1+5=163 sts. Can this help?

Dear Mrs Gram, remember diagrams are read bottom up, ie in this pattern you will decrease 1 stitch in the K3 section (= slip 1, K2, psso), then on 2nd row, make 1 yarn over between these 2 remaining stitches = you will have 3 sts again for row 3 and 4. See also this video. Happy knitting!

The diagram to start the colorwork then goes knit one round then purl one round. My question is ……as I am going in the round do I knit all rounds instead of knitting then purling the next. Bonjour Manon, effectivement, en bas du pull, on ne tricote que M.2 (M.1 et M.3 seront tricotés pour les manches). Vous allez ainsi répéter 19 fois le diagramme M.2A tout le tour. Bon tricot!

Dear Helen, A.1 is the beginning of the row, A.2 is the repeats in the row, which depends on the size; and A.3 is the end of the row, but afterward you repeat A.1 so that the garment is symmetrical. When you work A.1c over A.1d you need to work the diagram downward. Happy knitting!

Bonjour Louise, tout dépend, si vous tricotez en rangs, vous pouvez alors tricoter le rang suivant du même côté (endroit ou envers), du côté où le fil se trouve pour éviter d'avoir à faire suivre ce fil (et risque de resserrer l'ouvrage), si vous tricotez en rond, vous le reprendrez au début du tour suivant.
