NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in inches. For conversion from inches to cm - click here. Gauge: 15 sts x 24 rows on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"].

Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows.
Garter st, when knitting in the round: *Rnd 1, knit. Rnd 2, purl.* Repeat from * - *.

Rib: * K 3, P 3 *; repeat from * - *

Pattern: See charts. The pattern is seen from the right side.

Body: Cast on 150-162-174 sts on smaller circular needles with 1 strand each grass green and gold green Silke-Tweed; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 2 rows garter st. Change to larger needles and knit Pattern 1 twice. Continue with Pattern 2 until the piece measures 34-36-38 cm [13 3/8" - 14 1/8" - 14 7/8"], then knit Pattern 3 to finished measurements. At the same time, when the piece measures 41-42-44 cm [16 1/8" - 16.5" - 17.25"] bind off 6 sts at each side for armholes and knit each piece separately.

Front: 69-75-81 sts. Bind off for armholes each side every other row: 2 sts 2-3-4 times, 1 st 2-2-3 times = 57-59-59 sts. When the piece measures 56-58-60 cm [22" - 22-7/8" - 23-5/8"] (adjust for pattern so that you finish after either 3 rows garter st or 3 rows reverse stockinette st in the pattern) bind off the center 13 sts for the neck. Then bind off at each neck edge every other row: 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2 times = 16-17-17 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off after Pattern 3 is complete; the piece measures 62-64-66 cm [24-3/8" - 25.25" - 26"].

Back: 69-75-81 sts. Bind off for armholes as on the front = 57-59-59 sts. When the piece measures 60-62-64 cm [23-5/8" - 24-3/8" - 25.25"] bind off the center 21 sts for the neck. Bind off 2 sts at each neck edge on the next row = 16-17-17 sts on each shoulder. Bind off after Pattern 3 is complete; the piece measures 62-64-66 cm [24-3/8" - 25.25" - 26"].

Sleeve: Cast on 36-38-38 sts on smaller double-pointed needles with 1 strand each grass green and gold green Silke-Tweed; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 2 rows garter st. Change to larger needles and knit Pattern 1 twice. Continue with Pattern 2 until the piece measures 30-30-31 cm [11.75" - 11.75" - 12.25"], then knit Pattern 3 to finished measurements. At the same time, when the piece measures 9 cm [3.5"] inc 1 st each side of marker 11-11-11 times every 3.5 cm [1-3/8"] = 58-60-60 sts. When the piece measures 48-47-46 cm [18-7/8" - 18.5" - 18-1/8"] bind off 3 sts each side of marker and knit the sleeve back and forth on the needles. Bind off for sleeve caps each side every other row: 2 sts 2-2-1 times, 1 st 7-8-12 times, 2 sts 2-2-1 times. Bind off, the piece measures approx. 58-58-59 cm [22-7/8" - 22-7/8" - 23.25"].

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx. 60-66 sts (divisible by 6 sts) around neck on larger double-pointed needles with 1 strand grass green Silke-Tweed and 1 strand Vienna. Join and purl 1 row (right side row), then knit 1 row, then knit Rib for 12 cm [4.75"]; bind off in rib. Sew in sleeves.
