See diagram M.1, M.2 and M.3 – all diagrams are worked in stocking st and show 1 repetition of pattern.

Dec as follows before marker: K 2 tog.
Dec as follows after marker: K 2 twisted tog (i.e. work in back loop of st instead of front).

1st row (= RS): Work until 6 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso, turn piece.
2nd row (= WS): Work until 6 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to P, P 1, psso, turn piece.
3rd row (= RS): Work until 5 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso, turn piece.
4th row (= WS): Work until 5 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to P, P 1, psso, turn piece.
Continue dec like this with 1 less st before each dec until there are 10-10-12 sts on needle.

Worked in the round on double pointed needles.
Cast on 76-76-80 sts on double pointed needles size 3.5 mm with 1 thread Nepal. Work rib = K 2/P 2 for 7-8-9 cm. Then work 1 round in stocking st – while at the same time dec 6-6-10 sts evenly = 70 sts in all sizes. Switch to double pointed needles size 4.5 mm, insert a marker at beg of round (= mid back), work diagram M.1.
After diagram M.1, work 2 rounds with Nepal – at the same time on last round, dec 4 sts evenly = 66 sts. Continue with diagram M.2 (= 3 repetitions on the round). After diagram M.2, work 2 rounds with Nepal – at the same time on last round, dec 6 sts evenly = 60 sts. Piece measures approx. 21-22-23 cm. Continue with diagram M.3 – at the same time on 5th round of diagram M.3, dec 1 st on each side of marker mid back. Repeat dec every 4th-5th-6th round a total of 10-9-8 times – pattern will not fit mid back when dec. After diagram M.3, finish piece with 1 thread Alpaca and 1 thread Fabel. After all dec are done there are 40-42-44 sts on needle. When piece measures 40-42-44 cm, keep the first 10-10-11 sts on needle for heel, slip the next 20-22-22 sts on a stitch holder (= mid upper foot) and keep the last 10-10-11 sts on needle for heel. Continue in stocking st back and forth over the 20-20-22 heel sts for 5-5½-6 cm - insert a marker in middle of piece.
Then work HEEL DECREASE - see explanation above!
After heel dec, knit up 9-10-11 sts along each side of heel and slip the 20-22-22 sts from stitch holder back on needle = 48-52-56 sts. Insert a marker on each side of the middle 20-22-22 sts on upper foot. Continue in stocking st in the round while AT THE SAME TIME dec in each side as follows: K tog the last 2 sts BEFORE first marker on mid upper foot twisted (i.e. work in the back loop of st instead of front) and K tog the first 2 sts AFTER last marker on upper foot. Repeat dec every other round a total of 8 times = 32-36-40 sts. Continue until piece measures 18-20-22 cm from marker on heel (= approx. 4-4-5 cm remain). Insert a marker in each side so that there are 16-18-20 sts on upper foot and 16-18-20 sts under foot. Continue working in stocking st while AT THE SAME TIME dec for toes on each side of both markers - SEE DECREASE TIP! Repeat dec on every other round a total of 3-3-4 times and then on every round a total of 3-4-4 times = 8 sts remain on needle. Cut the threads and pull them through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten.
