Knitting Tension: 11 sts x 15 rows on needles size 8 mm in stocking stitch = 10x10cm.

Cast on 28-30-32 sts on double pointed needle size 8 mm with Eskimo and knit 1 round stocking sts – beg of round = mid back. Continue in Rib as follows:

Size 35/37: K1, *P2, K2*, repeat from *-* and finish with P2, K1.
Size 38/40: K1, P3, *P2, K2*, repeat from *-* and finish with K2, P3, K1. When piece measures 12 cm dec 1 st in each P3 section = 28 sts.
Size 42/44: K1, P4, *K2, P2*, repeat from *-* and finish with K2, P4, K1. When piece measures 14 cm dec 1 st in each P4 section = 30 sts.
All sizes: When piece measures 26-28-30 cm keep the first 7-7-8 sts on needle, put the next 14 sts on a thread (= mid upper foot) and keep the last 7-7-8 sts on needle = 14-14-16 sts for heel. Knit 5-6-7 cm stocking sts back and forth on needle over the heel sts. Insert a MT in the middle and measure foot length from this point.
Now dec for heel as follows:
1st row: (= RS): Knit until there are 5-6-6 sts left on row, K2 tog, turn the piece.
2nd row: (= WS): Purl until there are 5-6-6 sts left on row, P2 tog, turn the piece.
3rd row (= RS): Knit until there are 4-5-5 sts left on row, K2 tog, turn the piece.
4th row (= WS): Purl until there are 4-5-5 sts left on row, P2 tog, turn the piece.
Continue like this with 1 less st left before each dec until there are 6-6-8 sts left on row.

Now pick up 7-9-10 sts on each side of the heel and put all sts on double pointed needles = 34-38-42 sts. Knit Rib over the middle 16 sts on top of foot and stocking sts over remaining sts. At the same time dec as follows: Knit tog the 2 sts before the Rib into back of st and knit tog the 2 sts after the Rib on every other row a total of 5-6-7 times = 24-26-28 sts. Continue until foot measures approx 18-20-22 cm from the heel. Insert a marking thread each side (= 12-13-14 sts between each MT) and continue in stocking sts over all sts. At the same time dec for toe on both sides of each marking thread as follows: K2 tog, K1, MT, K1, K2 tog into back of st. Repeat the dec on every other row a total of 3 times and then on every row 1-1-2 times = 8-10-8 sts left. On next row knit all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut the thread and pull it through remaining sts. Sew.

Crochet border: Crochet a border round the top edge of the sock on crochet hook size 7 mm with Eskimo as follows: beg mid back *1 dc in first st, 3 ch, skip approx 2 cm*, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round.
