Hi Jeanette, My previous message seems to me quite confuse so I reformulate it hopefully in a better way: In the decreasing tip indications, I am not able to understand where are the 4 garter stitches that we are told about? There are not garter stitches inside the pattern except for the stripes made exclusively in garter (those 6 rows). Thank you.

Dear Simona, after you have cast off the stitches for the armholes, you will continue with 4 stitches in garter stitch on each side, then you will use the decreasing-tip. But when decreasing on the sides, this tip doesn't apply. Hope this helps. Happy knitting!

Hello Jeanette, I started to work on this project and I realized I am stuck at the decreasing, namely: in the front side I arrived at the decreasing every 4 cm each side (the size I am making is small) and so my question is what the decreasing tips (i.e. decreasing inside the 4 garter stitches) has to do with it since there are no garter sts inside the 18 rows stripes between the 6 rows garter stripes. I hope is not very confusing my wording here. Thank you.

Dear Simona, the decreasing-tip is here applying to the decrease you will work later for armholes (when it says then see Decreasing tip. Happy knitting!

Bind off for armhole as described for front piece and continue until piece measures 73-75-77-79-81-83 cm / 28¾"-29½"-30⅜"-31"-32"-32¾". Bind off when piece measures 76-78-80-82-84-86 cm / 30"-30¾"-31½"-32¼"-33"-33⅞". Assembly: Sew right shoulder seam.
