PATTERN:

DC-GROUP:
1 dc-group = in same ch-space/dc work 2 dc, 1 ch and 2 dc. At beg of round replace 1st dc in dc-group with 3 ch.

PICOT:
1 picot = ch 3, 1 sc in 3rd ch from hook.

WRIST WARMERS:
Worked in the round. Loosely ch 50 with Safran on hook size 3.5 mm/E and form a ring with 1 sl st in 1st ch.
ROUND 1: ch 1, 1 sc in 1st ch, * ch 5, skip ch 4, 1 sc in next ch *, repeat from *-* the entire round - see diagram A.1A, finish with ch 5 and 1 sl st in 1st sc = 10 ch-spaces.
ROUND 2: Sl sts until 1st ch-space, ch 1, 1 sc in same ch-space, * ch 5, 1 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with ch 5 and 1 sl st in 1st sc from beg of round.
Repeat ROUND 2 until piece measures approx. 4 cm / 1½'', then work diagram A.1B as follows: Work 4 ch instead of 5 ch - see diagram A.1B. Work diagram A.1B until piece measures approx. 8 cm / 3''. Then work diagram A.2 as follows:
ROUND 1: Sl sts until 1st ch-space, ch 4 (replaces 1st dc and 1st ch), * 1 DC-GROUP - read explanation above - in next ch-space, ch 1, 1 dc in next ch-space, ch 1 *, repeat from *-* the entire round - see diagram A.2, finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 5 dc-groups.

Repeat ROUND 2 and 3 until piece measures approx. 18 cm / 7''. Then work diagram A.3 as follows:
ROUND 1: Sl sts until 1st ch-space, ch 1, 1 sc in same ch-space, * ch 3, 1 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire round - see diagram A.3, finish with 3 ch and 1 sl st in 1st sc = 15 ch-spaces.
