Replace first dc on every row with 3 ch.
See diagram A.1 - NOTE: The first row with sc is not in the repetition and is NOT repeated upwards.
Worked from mid back. First work one side and down to beg of sleeve, then work the other side and down to the other sleeve. Then sew the sleeve seams and work 1 flounce around the entire opening.
Ch 82-90-98 LOOSELY with Cotton Viscose on hook size 3 mm / C – it is VERY important that this ch-row is not too tight. Work 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, then work 1 sc in every ch the entire row = 81-89-97 sc. Continue pattern A.1 as follows: Diagram a over the first 9 sc, diagram b until 8 sc remain, then diagram c over these (= 10-11-12 repetitions in total on row). REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE! Repeat the 4 rows in diagram A.1 upwards until piece measures approx. 32-35-39 cm / 12½"-13 3/4"-15 1/4"'' – finish after 4th row in diagram.
Continue to work a finishing border as follows:
ROW 1: ch 4, 1 sc in first ch-space, * ch 4, 1 sc in next ch-space, ch 4, 1 sc in ch between the 4 dc, ch 4, 1 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire row, finish with ch 4, 1 sc in last ch-space, 3 ch and 1 sc in last dc, turn piece.
ROW 2: Work as follows in every ch-space: 1 sc + 1 picot (= ch 3, 1 sc in first ch) + 1 sc. Fasten off.
Work along the other side of sc row made at the beg of first side (i.e. mid back) – beg with 1st row in A.1 and work as first side.
Fold the bolero double across and sew tog from bottom of each sleeve and approx. 10 cm / 4'' up in each side – sew edge to edge to avoid a chunky seam.
FLOUNCE AROUND OPENING:
Work around the entire opening as follows (beg mid back):
ROUND 1: 1 sc in first dc, * ch 3, 1 sc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with 3 ch and 1 sl st in first sc.
ROUND 2: ch 2, 1 sc in first ch-space, * ch 4, 1 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with 1 sl st in first sc.
ROUND 3: ch 2, 1 sc in first ch-space, * ch 4, 1 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with 1 sl st in first sc.
ROUND 4: ch 2, 1 sc in first ch-space, * ch 5, 1 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with 1 sl st in first sc.
ROUND 5: ch 2, 1 sc in first ch-space, * ch 5, 1 sc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with 1 sl st in first sc.
ROUND 6: Work as follows in every ch-space: 2 sc + 1 picot (= ch 3, 1 sc in first ch) + 2 sc. Fasten off.
