GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K sts on all rows. 1 ridge = 2 K rows.

BUTTONHOLES:
K 3rd and 4th st from mid front tog, then make 1 YO. On next row K YO twisted to avoid the buttonhole being to large.

Bind off for buttonholes when piece measures:
Size 3/4 years: 10, 18, 26, 34 and 42 cm /
4", 7", 10 1/4", 13 3/8" and 16½".
Size 5/6 years: 13, 21, 29, 37 and 45 cm /
5 1/8", 8 1/4", 11 3/8", 14½" and 17 3/4".
Size 7/8 years: 13, 22, 30, 39 and 47 cm /
5 1/8", 8 3/4", 11 3/4", 15 1/4" and 18½".
Size 9/10 years: 13, 20, 28, 35, 43 and 50 cm /
5 1/8", 8", 11", 13 3/4", 17" and 19 3/4".
Size 11/12 years: 13, 21, 29, 37, 45 and 53 cm /
5 1/8", 8 1/4", 11 3/8", 14½", 17 3/4" and 21".

BACK PIECE:
Cast on 41-44-47-50-53 sts (includes 1 edge st in each side) on needle size 9 mm / US 13 with 2 strands Alpaca Bouclé. K 4 rows (i.e 2 ridges) .
Then continue in stockinette st. REMEMBER THE GAUGE!
When piece measures 11-12-12-13-14 cm / 4½"-4 3/4"-4 3/4"-5"-5½", dec 1 st in each side, repeat dec when piece measures 22-24-25-26-28 cm / 8 3/4"-9½"-9 3/4"-10 1/4"-11" = 37-40-43-46-49 sts.
When piece measures 33-35-37-39-42 cm / 13"-13 3/4"-14½"-15 1/4"-16½" bind off for armholes at the beg of every row in each side as follows: 3 sts 1 time and 1 st 0-1-2-3-4 times = 31-32-33-34-35 sts.
When piece measures 46-49-52-55-59 cm / 18"-19 1/4"-20½"-21½"-23 1/4", bind off the middle 5-6-7-8-9 sts for neck. Then bind off 1 st on next row towards the neck = 12 sts remain on each shoulder.
Bind off when piece measures 48-51-54-57-61 cm / 19"-20"-21 1/4"-22½"-24".

LEFT FRONT PIECE:
Cast on 24-26-27-29-30 sts (includes 1 edge st in the side and 4 band sts towards mid front) on needle size 9 mm / US 13 with 2 strands Alpaca Bouclé.
K4 rows (i.e 2 ridges), continue in stockinette st with 4 band sts in garter st towards mid front until finished measurements.
When piece measures 5-6-6-6-7 cm / 2"-2½"-2½"-2½"-2 3/4" dec 1 st in the side, repeat dec when piece measures 17-18-18-20-21 cm / 6 3/4"-7"-7"-8"-8 1/4" = 22-24-25-27-28 sts.
When piece measures 33-35-37-39-42 cm / 13"-13 3/4"-14½"-15 1/4"-16½" bind off for armhole in the side as on back piece = 19-20-20-21-21 sts.
When piece measures 43-46-48-51-54 cm / 17"-18"-19"-20"-21 1/4" slip the outermost 4-5-5-6-6 sts towards mid front on a stitch holder for neck (work them first). Then bind off at beg of every row from neck as follows: 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 1 time = 12 sts remain on shoulder.
Bind off when piece measures 48-51-54-57-61 cm / 19"-20"-21 1/4"-22½"-24".

RIGHT FRONT PIECE:
Cast on and work as left front piece but with bind off for armhole and neck in the opposite side. In addition bind off for BUTTONHOLES on band - see explanation above.

SLEEVE:
Cast on 20-22-22-24-24 sts (includes 1 edge st in each side) on needle size 9 mm / US 13 with 2 strands Alpaca Bouclé. K2 rows (i.e 1 ridge). Continue in stockinette st back and forth until finished measurements.
AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 7 cm / 2¾'', inc 1 st in each side. Repeat inc every 4½-5½-5-5½-5 cm / 1 3/4"-2 1/4"-2"-2 1/4"-2" 4-4-5-5-6 more times = 30-32-34-36-38 sts.
When sleeve measures 28-31-34-37-41 cm / 11"-12 1/4"-13½"-14½"-16", bind off for sleeve cap at the beg of each row in each side as follows: 3 sts 1 time, then bind off 2 sts until piece measures 31-35-39-43-48 cm / 12 1/4"-13 3/4"-15 1/4"-17"-19" and then 3 sts 1 time in each side.
Piece measures approx. 32-36-40-44-49 cm / 12½"-14 1/4"-15 3/4"-17 1/4"-19 1/4", bind off the remaining sts.

HOOD:
Sew the shoulder seams. Pick up approx. 26 to 38 sts around the neck (including sts on stitch holders at the front) on needle size 9 mm / US 13 with 2 strands Alpaca Bouclé.
K 1 row from WS, then K 1 row from RS while AT THE SAME TIME inc evenly to 40-42-44-46-48 sts.
Continue in stockinette st with 1 st in garter st in each side.
When hood measures 28-29-30-31-32 cm / 11"-11½"-11 3/4"-12 1/4"-12½", bind off all sts. Sew hood tog at the top.

CROCHET EDGE SLEEVE AND HOOD:
Work a finishing edge around the entire hood and at the bottom of sleeves on hook size 6 mm / J/10 with 1 strand Puddel as follows:
ROW 1: 1 sc in first st, * ch 1, skip approx. 1 cm / ½'', 1 sc in next st *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sc in last st. Turn piece.
ROW 2: Ch 1 and repeat from *-* as on previous row but work between sc from previous row so that the edge is double. Finish with 1 sc in last st. Make sure that the edge is neither too loose nor too tight.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams in one inside 1 edge st. Sew on buttons.

CROCHET EDGE JACKET:
Work 1 row in each of the 2 ridges worked at the bottom of jacket on hook size 6 mm / J/10 with Puddel as follows: Work 1 sc in first st in garter st on band and continue to work along the ridges as follows: * ch 1, skip 1 st and work 1 sc in next st *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sc in last st towards band. Repeat on the other ridge. Make sure that the edge is neither too loose nor too tight.
