CARDIGAN: Gauge: 14 sts x 20 rows with 1 strand Tynn Chenille + 1 strand Vivaldi = 10 x 10 cm on larger needles in stockinette st. Back: Cast on 58-64-70-78-84 sts on smaller needles with 1 strand brown Tynn Chenille + 1 strand Vivaldi. Knit 4 rows garter st, change to larger needles and stockinette st. Read the entire next section before knitting: When the piece measures 10 cm inc 1 st at each side every 7-8-8-8-9 cm a total of 3 times = 64-70-76-84-90 sts. At the same time when the piece measures 15 cm change to burgundy Tynn Chenille + Vivaldi, knit 4 rows, then knit the rest with pink Tynn Chenille + Vivaldi. When the piece measures 32-33-34-35-36 cm bind off for armhole at each side every other row: 3 sts 1-1-1-2-2 times, 2 sts 0-1-2-2-3 times and 1 st 3-3-4-4-4 times = 52-54-54-56-58 sts. When the piece measures 50-52-54-56-58 cm bind off the center 18-18-18-20-20 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge = 16-17-17-17-18 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm. Left front: Cast on 34-37-40-44-47 sts on smaller needles with 1 strand brown Tynn Chenille + 1 strand Vivaldi. Knit 4 rows garter st, change to larger needles and stockinette st but keep 5 edge sts at center front knit as follows from edge (seen from the right side): K 1 (edge st knit in garter st), K 1, P 1, K 1, P 1. Read the entire next section before knitting: When the piece measures 10 cm inc 1 st at the side edge every 7-8-8-8-9 cm a total of 3 times = 37-40-43-47-50 sts. At the same time when the piece measures 15 cm change to burgundy Tynn Chenille + Vivaldi, knit 4 rows, then knit the rest with pink Tynn Chenille + Vivaldi. When the piece measures 32-33-34-35-36 cm bind off for armhole at the side as on back = 31-32-32-33-34 sts. When the piece measures 44-46-48-50-52 cm put 8-8-8-9-9 sts at the center front on a st holder for the neck. Then bind off for the neck every other row: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 3 times = 16-17-17-17-18 sts remain on shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm. Right front: Cast on and knit the same as the left but reversing all shaping. Make buttonholes along button band. 1 buttonhole = bind off the 3rd st from edge and cast on 1 new st over the bound off st on the next row. Make buttonholes when the piece measures (make the last buttonhole when 2 rows remain before putting neck sts on a st holder): Size S: 1, 7, 13, 19, 25, 31, 37 and 43 cm. Size M: 2, 8, 14, 20, 27, 33, 39 and 45 cm. Size L: 2, 8, 15, 21, 28, 34, 40 and 47 cm. Size XL: 2, 9, 15, 22, 29, 36, 42 and 49 cm. Size XXL: 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, 37, 44 and 51 cm. Sleeve: Cast on 36-38-40-42-44 sts on smaller needles with 1 strand each brown Tynn Chenille and Vivaldi. Knit 4 rows garter st, change to larger needles and stockinette st. When the piece measures 11 cm change to burgundy Tynn Chenille + Vivaldi, knit 4 rows, then knit the rest with pink Tynn Chenille + Vivaldi. At the same time when the piece measures 12-12-12-14-14 cm inc 1 st at each side every 5-4-4-3.5-3 cm a total of 8-9-9-9-10 times = 52-56-58-60-64 sts. When sleeve measures 49-48-47-44-43 cm bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 3-3-2-1-1 times, 1 st 1-2-5-10-11 times, then bind off 2 sts at each side until the piece measures 56-56-57-57-57 cm, then bind off 3 sts 1 time at each side. The piece measures approx. 57-57-58-58-58 cm, bind off. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Neckband: Pick up approx. 54 to 60 sts around the neck (incl. sts on st holder) on smaller needles with 1 strand pink Tynn Chenille + 1 strand Vivaldi. Knit 4 rows garter st, bind off. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance. Sew on buttons. HAT: Sizes: S/M - M/L Materials: DROPS VIVALDI from Garnstudio 50 gr nr 01, black. and use: DROPS ALPACA from Garnstudio 100 gr nr 8903, black. DROPS 3.5 mm [US 4] needles, or size needed to obtain correct gauge. Gauge: 21 sts x 46 rows in garter st with 1 strand Vivaldi + 1 strand Alpaca = 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"]]. Hat: Loosely cast on 143-152 sts with 1 strand each Alpaca and Vivaldi and knit garter st. When the piece measures 5 cm dec 35 sts evenly distributed = 108-117 sts. Continue with garter st. When the piece measures 16 cm put 9 markers in work as follows (from right side): K 1 st, put in 1 marker, * K 12-13 sts, put in 1 marker *, repeat from * - * a total of 8 times, after last marker there are 11-12 sts. Now dec 1 st on the left side of each marker every other row a total of 11-12 times = 9 sts remain on needles. Pull a strand of yarn through the remaining sts and fasten. Sew hat at center back. Hat measures approx. 21-22 cm in height. GLOVES: Sizes: S/M - M/L Materials: DROPS KARISMA SUPERWASH from Garnstudio 100-100 gr nr 05, black. DROPS 2.5 mm [US 1] and 3 mm [US 2] double-pointed needles, or sizes needed to obtain correct gauge. Gauge: 23 sts x 32 rows on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm. Rib: * K 1, P 1 *, repeat from * - *. Pattern: See chart. The pattern is seen from the right side. Right Glove: Cast on 54-58 sts on smaller double-pointed needles; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 2 cm stockinette st for hem. Knit the next row as follows: * K 2 tog, yo *, repeat from * - * (folding edge). Knit 2 cm stockinette st, decreasing 8 sts evenly distributed on the last row = 46-50 sts. Then knit rib for 4 cm. Change to larger double pointed needles and knit the next row in stockinette st as follows: 2-3 sts, Pattern 1 over 20 sts, 2-3 sts (these 24-26 sts = upper hand), 1-1 st for thumb (put a marker in this st), 21-23 sts (inside hand). Measure the piece from here. Continue in pattern as established over all sts. At the same time when the piece measures 1-2 cm inc 1 st each side of thumb st every 4-3 rows a total of 5-6 times = 56-62 sts - knit the increased sts in stockinette st. Put the 11-13 thumb sts on a st holder. Cast on 1 new sts in back of these sts on the next row= 46-50 sts. Continue until the piece measures 9-10 cm. Put the 24-26 upper hand sts on a st holder (st holder-1) and the 22-24 inside hand sts on a second st holder (st-holder-2). Knit fingers as follows: Little finger: Pick up 5-5 sts from st holder-1 and 4-5 sts from st holder-2 and cast on 2 new sts toward ring finger = 11-12 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until finger measures 5-6 cm. Now K 2 tog across row, then pull 1 strand through the remaining sts and fasten neatly. Put all sts from st holders back on needles and knit 3 rows with pattern as established. Put sts back on st holders 1 and 2. Ring finger: Pick up 6-7 sts from st holder-1 and 6-6 sts from st holder-2 and cast on 1 st between fingers at each side = 14-15 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until finger measures 7-8 cm. Now K 2 tog across row, then pull 1 strand through the remaining sts and fasten neatly. Middle finger: Pick up 7-7 sts from st holder-1 and 6-7 sts from st holder-2 and cast on 1 st between fingers at each side = 15-16 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until finger measures 8-9 cm. Now K 2 tog across row, pull 1 strand through the remaining sts and fasten neatly. Index finger: Pick up the remaining 6-7 sts from st holder-1 and 6-6 sts from st holder-2 and cast on 2 new sts toward ring finger = 14-15 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until finger measures 6-7 cm. Now K 2 tog across row, pull 1 strand through the remaining sts and fasten neatly. Thumb: Put the 11-13 thumb sts onto needles, pick up 3-3 sts in back of thumb = 14-16 sts. Join and knit stockinette st until thumb measures 5-6 cm. Now K 2 tog across row, pull 1 strand through the remaining sts and fasten neatly. Assembly: Fold hem to wrong side and stitch in place. Sew a small st between all finger so that there will no be a hole in the transitions. Knit a second glove, reversing shaping. |
