Replace first dc on every row with ch 3. Finish every row with 1 dc in 3rd ch from beg of previous row.

Worked top down back and forth. Then crochet tog to a circle afterwards.
Ch 107-119 LOOSELY on hook size 4.5 mm/ US 7 with Lima.

ROW 1: Work 1 dc in 4th ch from hook, then work 1 dc in every ch = 105-117 dc on row, turn piece. READ CROCHET INFO!

Then work fan pattern back and forth from mid back as follows:

ROW 2: 3 ch in 1st dc, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc (= mid back band), * ch 2, skip approx. 2 sts, 1 sc in next st *, repeat from *-* so that there are 30-34 ch-spaces and 6 or 7 dc remain, ch 2 and finish with 1 dc in each of the last 4 dc (= mid back band), turn piece. There are now 31-35 ch-spaces with 4 dc in each side for bands.

ROW 3: ch 3 in 1st dc, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, skip first ch-space, * 4 dc + ch 2 + 4 dc in next ch-space, 1 dc in next ch-space*, repeat from *-* until 2 ch-spaces remain, work 4 dc + ch 2 + 4 dc in next ch-space, skip last ch-space and finish with 1 dc in each of the 4 dc on band = 15-17 fans with 4 dc in each side towards mid back for bands, turn piece.

ROW 4: ch 3 in 1st dc, 1 dc in each of the next 3 dc, * 4 dc + ch 2 + 4 dc in middle of next dc-group (i.e. in ch-space in dc-group), 1 dc in dc from previous row *, repeat from *-* until 1 dc-group remains, 4 dc + ch 2 + 4 dc in the middle of this dc-group and finish with 1 dc in each of the 4 dc on band, turn piece.
Repeat 4th row until piece measures approx. 21-21 cm / 8 1/4"-8 1/4".

WORK NEXT ROW AS FOLLOWS: ch 4 in 1st dc, 1 tr in each of the next 3 dc, * 4 tr + ch 2 + 4 tr in middle of next dc-group, 1 tr in dc from previous row *, repeat from *-* until 1 dc-group remains, 4 tr + ch 2 + 4 tr in the middle of this dc-group and finish with 1 tr in each of the 4 dc on band, turn piece.
Repeat this row until piece measures approx. 35-35 cm / 13 3/4''. Fasten off.

Now crochet the neck warmer tog in the back as follows: Fold the neck warmer double. Start at the top and * work 1 sc through both layer in outer loop of outermost st in band, ch 3, skip one row *, repeat from *-* but after 21 cm / 8 1/4'' work ch 4 instead of ch 3.
