Bon tricot!

Gruss Katja

DROPS bolero with cable pattern in ”Snow”. Size S - XXXL.
DROPS 117-19 |
|||||||
PATTERN: See diagram M.1. Diagram shows the pattern from RS. -------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------- BOLERO: Beg at the bottom of right sleeve, in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 28-28-32-32-32-32 sts on double pointed needles size 7 mm / US 10½ with Snow. K 1 round. Insert a marker at beg of round = mid under sleeve. Continue in rib K2/ P2. When rib measures 10-10-10-12-12-12 cm / 4"-4"-4"-4¾"-4¾"-4¾" K 1 round, AT THE SAME TIME inc 2-2-0-1-1-2 sts evenly = 30-30-32-33-33-34 sts. Change to double pointed needles size 8 mm / US 11. REMEMBER THE GAUGE! P 1 round and continue as follows: P 15-15-16-17-17-18, M.1 (= 14 sts) and P 1-1-2-2-2-2. When piece measures approx 13-12-12-13-14-17 cm / 5⅛"-4¾"-4¾"-5⅛"-5½"-6¾" inc 2 sts mid under sleeve (i.e. 1 st each side of marker) on every 5-4.5-4.5-4-3.5-3 cm / 2"-1¾"-1¾"-1½"-1¼"-1⅛" a total of 9-10-10-11-12-13 times = 48-50-52-55-57-60 sts. After the last inc piece measures approx 53 cm / 21". Now divide piece mid under sleeve and continue back and forth on all sts on circular needle size 8 mm / US 11. Insert a new marker, and now measure piece from here. Now bind off on one side of piece (= towards front piece) and AT THE SAME TIME cast on new sts at the other side of piece (= towards back piece) as follows: TOWARDS FRONT PIECE (i.e. at beg of row as seen from RS): On first row bind off 3 sts and then bind off on every other row: 2 sts 8-9-10-11-11-12 times, then on every 4th row: 1 st 2 times. TOWARDS BACK PIECE (i.e. at the end of row as seen from RS): Cast on new sts on every other row: 2 sts 1-2-3-3-3-3 times and 1 sts 2-2-2-3-4-5 times, then on every 4th row: 1 st 4 times. After all dec and inc are complete there are 35-37-39-41-44-46 sts on needle. When piece measures 18-19-20-21-22-23 cm / 7"-7½"-8"-8¼"-8 ¾"-9" from second marker slip sts on a stitch holder from bottom of back piece towards the neck (i.e. sts at the end of row as seen from RS) on every other row: 6-7-8-8-9-10 sts 3 times = 17-16-15-17-17-16 sts left on needle. You have now reached mid back. Insert a new marker in piece = mid back, and now measure piece from here. Continue as follows: After the last 6-7-8-8-9-10 sts have been put on stitch holder, work 1 row with K over K and P over P before slipping sts back on needle on every other row: 6-7-8-8-9-10 sts 3 times = 35-37-39-41-44-46 sts. NOTE! When slipping sts back on needle pick up 1 st between last st on needle and first st on stitch holder and work this st tog with first st from stitch holder (to avoid a hole in transition). When piece measures approx 5 cm / 2" from marker mid back cast on new sts towards front piece (= the side where dec were made before, i.e. at beg of row as seen from RS) on every 4th row: 1 st 2 times, then on every other row: 2 sts 8-9-10-11-11-12 times and 3 sts 1 time. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 8-8-7-7-7-6 cm / 3⅛"-3⅛"-2¾"-2¾"-2¾"-2⅜" from marker mid back (measured at the top) bind off towards back piece (= the side where inc were made before, i.e. at the end of row as seen from RS) on every 4th row: 1 st 4 times, then on every other row: 1 st 2-2-2-3-4-5 times and 2 sts 1-2-3-3-3-3 times. After all inc and dec are complete there are 48-50-52-55-57-60 sts on needle. Now slip piece back on double pointed needles size 8 mm / US 11 and continue in the round for sleeve. Insert a marker mid under sleeve (= beg of round), and now measure piece from here. Work first round as follows: P 24-25-26-28-29-31, M.1 (= 14 sts) and P 10-11-12-13-14-15. AT THE SAME TIME dec 2 sts mid under sleeve (= 1 st each side of marker) on every 5-4.5-4.5-4-3.5-3 cm / 2"-1¾"-1¾"-1½"-1¼"-1⅛" a total of 9-10-10-11-12-13 times = 30-30-32-33-33-34 sts. When piece measures 43-43-43-41-41-41 cm / 17"-17"-17"-16⅛"-16⅛"-16⅛" from marker mid under sleeve (adjust to after the same no of rows as on the first sleeve) P 1 round. Change to double pointed needles size 7 mm / US 10½, K 1 round, AT THE SAME TIME dec 2-2-0-1-1-2 sts evenly = 28-28-32-32-32-32 sts and continue in rib K2/P2. When rib measures 10-10-10-12-12-12 cm / 4"-4"-4"-4¾"-4¾"-4¾" K 1 round on all sts and bind off. EDGE: Pick up 116-128-136-148-148-156 sts round the opening of bolero, i.e. up along right front piece, round neck, down along left front piece and along back piece on circular needle size 7 mm / US 10½ with Snow. NOTE! If picking up less or more sts, adjust no of sts on second round. P 1 round, K 1 round and continue in rib K2/ P2. When edge measures approx 2 cm / ¾" inc 1 st in every 4th P-section. Repeat the inc when edge measures 4 cm / 1½", 6 cm / 2⅜" and 8 cm / 3⅛", but shift the inc to the next P-section so that all P-sections eventually become P3 = 145-160-170-185-185-195 sts. After the last round with inc there is K2/P3 all the way round. When edge measures 9-9-10-10-11-11 cm / 3½"-3½"-4"-4"-4⅜"-4⅜" bind off loosely with K over K and P over P. |
