Knitting gauge: 11 sts x 15 rows stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm [4’’ x 4’’]

Knitting tip: Each time piece is turned in middle of work slip first sts as if to knit, tighten thread and knit back, this is done to avoid holes in transitions.

Garter st: Knit all rows back and forth on needle

Buttonhole: Bind off for 4 buttonholes on right front edge from WS as follows: 1 buttonhole = P2 sts tog and yo. On next row knit into back of yo sts (i.e. do not knit into front of sts) to avoid large hole. Knit 3 sts, bind off to 1st buttonhole, knit 5 sts, bind off for 2nd buttonhole, knit 5 sts, bind off for 3rd buttonhole, knit 5 sts and bind off for last (4th) buttonhole.
