Hoi. Er staat in het patroon: Minder bij een hoogte van 4 cm 6 x 1 ribbelst – lees Tips Minderen – op elke 1½ cm. Dwz, u moet 6 keer 1 ribbelst minderen zoals beschreven in het patroon. Dwz, in totaal 12 st minderen. Gr. Tine

Na de eerste 4 cm moet je 6 ribbelsteken minderen. Bij de tips staat dat je telkens 2 steken rechts moet samen breien aan weerskanten van de markeerdraden, maar dat zijn naar maar 4 minderingen in plaats van 6?

Knitting gauge: 19 sts x 25 rows in stockinette sts with 2 threads 10 x 10 cm [4" x 4"] Pattern: See diagram M.1. The diagram is shown from the RS. Decreasing tip: To dec. each side, K 2 sts tog. Alternate between first the one side of the MT (marking thread) and then the other side of the MT. Increasing tip (apply for the gusset of the thumb): To inc. make a yo. On the next round twist the yo to avoid a hole – ( i.e. knit into the back of the st instead of the front). Knit new sts in stockinette sts. Garter sts (round on double pointed needles): K 1st round, P 2nd round. __________________________________________________________________ LEFT GLOVE Knit round on double pointed needles. Cast on 48-54 sts on double pointed needles size 4 mm [US 6] with 2 threads of Alpaca. Knit 2 rounds in stockinette sts. Continue with 4 round of Rib = K3/P3. Insert 1 MT at beg. of round and 1 MT after 27-31 sts (= 27-31 for the top of the hand and 21-23 sts for the palm of the hand). K 1 round and then P 1 round at the same time inc. 4-2 sts at the top of the hand = 52-56 sts in total. Continue as follows: 4-5 garter sts, M.1 (= 23 sts), 8-10 garter sts (MT should be in the middle of these sts), P 13 sts and 4-5 garter sts. When the piece measures 4 cm [1½"] dec. 1 K st – read decreasing tip each side for every 1.5 cm [½"] a total of 6 times = 40-44 sts (25-27 sts at the top of the hand and 15-17 sts at the palm of the hand). There are now 2-4 garter sts each side. Continue until the piece measures approx. 12-13 cm [4¾"-5⅛"]. One the next round inc. at the end of round for the gusset of the thumb – read increasing tip = 41-45 sts. Continue pattern as before. At the same time when the piece measures 13-14 cm [5⅛"-5½] inc. 1 st each side of the new thumb gusset on every 4th round a total of 3-4 times = 7-9 thumb sts. When the piece measures 18-20 cm [7"-8"] put these 7-9 sts + 1 more st each side (= 9-11 thumb sts) on a thread or a stitch holder. Cast on 2 new sts behind the gusset (continue to knit these 2 sts in garter sts) = 40-44 sts. Continue until the piece measures approx. 22-24 cm [8¾"-9½"] (adjust to a completed repeat of M.1). Then knit 2 rounds of garter sts at the same time dec. 5 sts evenly distributed at the top of the hand (= 20-22 st at the top of the hand and 15-17 sts in the palm of the hand). Knit the next round as follows: Put the 15-17 sts at the top of the hand on a thread or a stitch holder and keep 8-9 sts on the needle and put the remaining 12-13 sts from the palm of the hand onto another thread or stitch holder. Little finger: = 8-9 sts, cast on 1 more st towards the sts on the thread or stitch holder = 9-10 sts. Knit round in stockinette sts for 5½-6½ cm [2¼"-2½"], then knit the sts tog. 2 by 2. Cut the threads and pull through the remaining sts, pull tight. Hand: Put sts from the threads or stitch holders back on needle, and pick up in addition 2 more sts towards the little finger = 29-32 sts. Knit 2 round of stockinette sts. Keep the 2 sts picked up earlier towards the little finger + 5-5 sts at the top of the hand and 3-4 sts from the palm of the hand. Put remaining sts on a thread or a stitch holder (10-12 sts at the top of the hand and 9-9 sts in the palm of the hand). Ring finger: = 10-11 sts, cast on 1 more st towards the sts on the thread or stitch holder = 11-12 sts. Knit round with stockinette sts for approx. 7-8 cm [2¾"-3⅛"], then knit all sts tog. 2 by 2. Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts, pull tight. Middle finger: Put 5-6 sts from the thread at the top of the hand + 4-4 sts from the palm of the hand back on the needles and in addition pick up 2 sts towards the ring finger and cast on 1 new st towards the threads or the stitch holder = 12-13 sts. Knit round with stockinette sts for approx. 7½-8½ cm [2⅞"-3 ¼"], then knit all sts tog. 2 by 2. Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts. Pull tight. Index finger: Put the remaining 10-11 sts from the thread or stitch holder back on needle, in addition pick up 2-3 sts towards the middle finger = 12-14 sts. Knit round with stockinette sts for approx. 6½-7½ cm [2½"-2⅞"], then knit all sts tog. 2 by 2, cut the thread and pull through the remaining sts. Pull tight. Thumb: Put the sts from the gusset of the thumb back on needle and in addition pick up 3 sts in the edge at the back side of the thumb sts = 12-14 sts. Knit in stockinette sts for approx. 5½-6 cm [2¼"-2⅜"], then knit all sts tog. 2 by 2. Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts, pull tight. Right glove: Knit as left, but reverse, i.e. knit as follows: 4-5 garter sts, P 13 sts, 8-10 garter sts, M.1 (= 23 sts) and 4-5 garter sts. Inc for the gusset of the thumb at beg. of round instead of the end of round. |
