Gauge: 17 sts x 22 rows on larger needles with 1 strand of each yarn (= 2 strands) in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm.
Striping hints: Because the model in the photograph was knit on the machine, it looks more striped than it will appear when knit by hand. Hand knitting results in a more tweed effect.
Rib: * K 2, P 2 *, repeat * - *.
Knitting tips (for armhole):
Dec 1 st inside of 1 st in garter st as follows. After 1 edge st: Slip 1 st as if to knit, K 1, psso. Before 1 edge st: K 2 tog.
Increasing tips (for shoulders):
Inc inside of K 2 by pulling up a st from previous row and knit the st.
Back: Cast on 64-72-80-88-96 sts on smaller needles with 1 strand of each yarn (= 2 strands). P 1 row (wrong side row) and then knit rib, keeping 1 edge st at each side in garter st and begin rib with K 2.
When the piece measures 12 cm change to larger needles and stockinette st, decreasing evenly spaced to 62-70-78-86-94 sts on 1st row. When the piece measures 17-17-18-19-19 cm inc 1 st at each side every 5-5-7-7-7 cm a total of 4-4-3-3-3 times = 70-78-84-92-100 sts.
When the piece measures 35-36-37-38-39 cm bind off 3-4-5-5-5 sts at each side for armhole. Then dec 1 st at each side every other row – see knitting tips: 2-3-3-5-7 times = 60-64-68-72-76 sts.
When the piece measures 40-42-44-46-48 cm inc 1 st at each side for shoulder – see increasing tips: every 2.5-2.5-2.5-4-4 cm a total of 4-4-4-3-3 times = 68-72-76-78-82 sts.
When the piece measures 50-52-54-56-58 cm bind off the center 22-22-24-24-26 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge = 22-24-25-26-27 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm.
Left front: Cast on 34-38-42-46-50 sts on smaller circular needles with 1 strand of each yarn (= 2 strands). P1 row (wrong side row) and then knit rib, keeping 1 edge st in garter st at each side and begin rib with K 2 (at the center front).
When the piece measures 12 cm change to larger needles and stockinette st, decreasing evenly spaced to 31-35-39-43-47 sts on the 1st row.
Read the entire section before knitting:

Inc for shoulder: When the piece measures 40-42-44-46-48 cm inc for shoulder as on back.
After all shaping is complete 22-24-25-26-27 sts remain on shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 52-54-56-58-60 cm.

K 2 rows (1st row = wrong side). Then knit rib, keeping 2 sts in garter st at each end and begin rib with P 2 (K 2 seen from the right side). When edge measures 9-9-10-10-11 cm bind off all sts loosely in rib.
Armhole edge: Pick up approx. 68 - 84 sts (divisible by 4) inside edge st around armhole with 1 strand of each yarn (= 2 strands) on smaller double-pointed needles; join and place a marker at the join. P 1 row and K 1 row, then knit rib. When edge measures 2 cm bind off all sts loosely in rib.
