Bon tricot!

I can't make the stitches add up as described in first paragraph on Right front piece for small size. Cast on 3, then inc 2 its every other row 14 times = 28 stitches, then on left side 1 stitch every other row 13 times = 13 Stitches. 3 + 28 + 13 = 44, yet the patterns says it should be 43 stitches. What did I miss?
30.07.2020 - 05:08DROPS Design answered:
Dear Judy, The total number of stitches for smaller size is indeed 44 stitches. In the pattern, you read 43-46-49 sts (+ 1 seam st) (The 44th stitch is the seam stitch). Happy Knitting!

Hej! Hello, I have a question about pattern 38-9. I am finding a part of the following section confusing: on left side on every *other, other, 3rd* row alternately 1 st 13-14-15 times = 43-46-49 sts. I understand the right side inc, but on the left side what do you mean by "every other, other, 3rd row alternately 1 st". What does every other, other mean? It doesn't matter how I count it out I only come up with 47 stitches. Can you clarify? Thanks, so much! I love your yarn.
12.03.2015 - 19:30DROPS Design answered:
Dear Christy, in the first 2 sizes you will inc every other row, and in the largest size, you will increase every 3rd row. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot !

Seed st: First row: K1, P1. Second row: P over K and K over P. Repeat second row. Right front piece: Cast on 3 sts on needle size 4 mm / US 6 and work seed st, at the same time inc inside 1 st each side as follows: at right side (towards mid front) on every other row 2 sts 14-15-16 times and on left side on every *other, other, 3rd* row alternately 1 st 13-14-15 times = 43-46-49 sts. Piece now measures approx 9-10-11 cm – now measure piece from here. Cast on 1 new st on left side for seam. Now dec on left side inside 1 st on every other row: 1 st 7-7-7 times = 36-39-42 sts (+ 1 seam st). When piece measures 5-5-5 cm inc on left side inside 1 st on every 5th row: 1 st 10-10-10 times = 46-49-52 sts (+ 1 seam st). When piece measures 24-24-24 cm bind off for armhole on left side on every other row: 3 sts 1-1-1 time and 1 st 0-1-2 times = 44-46-48 sts. When piece measures 27-26-26 cm dec to shape the neckline inside 1 st towards mid front: 1 st 16-17-17 times as follows: size S on every 3rd and 4th row alternately, size M on every *3rd, 4th, 4th* row alternately, size L: on every 4th row. At the same time when piece measures 44-45-46 cm bind off to shape the shoulder from armhole towards neckline on every other row: 6 sts 4 times. Now bind off the remaining 4-5-7 sts. Piece measures approx 47-48-49 cm. Left front piece: Like right front piece, but mirrored. Back piece: Cast on 86-92-98 sts + 2 edge sts on needle size 4 mm / US 6 and work seed st, at the same time dec inside edge st each side on every other row: 1 st 7-7-7 times = 72-78-84 sts (+ 2 edge sts). When piece measures 24-24-24 cm dec for armhole each side on every other row: 3 sts 1-1-1 time and 1 st 0-1-2 times = 88-92-96 sts. When piece measures 44-45-46 cm bind off to shape the shoulders from armhole towards the centre on every other row: 6 sts 4 times and then bind off the remaining 4-5-7 sts. At the same time when piece measures 45-46-47 cm bind off the middle 28-30-30 sts for neck and dec 2 sts on neckline on next row. All sts are now bound off and piece measures approx 47-48-49 cm.
