Crochet DROPS Christmas slippers in ”Eskimo”. ~ DROPS Design

CROCHET INFO: Replace first sc on round/row with 1 ch. Finish each round with 1 sl st in ch from beg of round.

FOOT: Beg with the toe. Crochet 3 ch with crochet hook size 8 mm [L/11] and off-white Eskimo and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: 5-5-6 sc in ring – SEE CROCHET INFO!
ROUND 2: 2 sc in each sc = 10-10-12 sc
ROUND 3: * 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* = 15-15-18 sc
ROUND 4-6: 1 sc in each sc
ROUND 7: * 1 sc in each of the first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* = 20-20-24 sc Continue in the round with 1 sc in each sc.
REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE!
When piece measures 7-8-10 cm [2¾”-3 1/8”-4”] change to camel and continue with 1 sc in each sc until piece measures 10-12-14 cm [4”-4¾”-5½”].

HEEL: Change to red, AT THE SAME TIME divide the piece and continue back and forth from mid upper foot – remember CROCHET INFO!
When piece measures 22-25-28 cm [8¾”-9¾”-11”] place it flat and crochet tog mid back with a row of sl sts through both layers. Cut the thread and fasten.

LEG: Crochet a round of sc with red along the opening of slipper (beg mid front) = approx 26-28-30 sc. Continue in the round with 1 sc in each sc until leg measures approx 5 cm [2’’]. Now continue back and forth on half the sts only = from mid front to mid back, AT THE SAME TIME dec as follows: * turn with 1 ch, skip first sc, work 1 sc in each sc until 1 sc remain *, repeat from *-* until 2 sc remain. Cut the thread.

ASSEMBLY: Make a small off-white pompom with a diameter of approx 3 cm [1 1/8’’] and attach to the point of the side piece on leg = top of hat. Make a similar pompom in red and attach to the middle of slipper in the transition between off-white and camel = nose. Sew a few black sts above the nose for eyes.

Make one more slipper, but when making the hat, crochet from mid back to mid front in order to have the hat at the other side.
