Here's the 7th clue for our Mystery Blanket CAL in an easy step by step. You can also find two videos for the whole clue at the bottom of this lesson!
Work 5 ch on hook size 3 mm with pink.
Form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: 2 ch (= 1st hdc), 11 hdc around ring and finish with 1 sl st in 2nd ch at beg of round = 12 hdc.
ROUND 2: 1 ch, * 1 sc in first/next hdc, 4 ch, skip 1 hdc *. Repeat from *-* 6 times in total and finish with 1 sl st in first ch at beg of round = 6 ch-spaces.
ROUND 3: 1 ch, around ch-space work: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc.
Complete description of ROUND 3:
ROUND 3: 1 ch, around every ch-space work: * 1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc *, finish with 1 sl st in first ch at beg of round = 6 leaves.
ROUND 4: Turn piece and work from WS. 1 ch, 1 sc around first sc from 2nd round, 5 ch, 1 sc around next sc from 2nd round.
ROUND 4: ch-space from WS.
Complete description of ROUND 4:
ROUND 4: Turn piece and work from WS. 1 ch, 1 sc around first/next sc from 2nd round, * 5 ch, 1 sc around next sc from 2nd round *, repeat *-* the entire round and finish with 5 ch and 1 sl st in first sc on round = 6 ch-spaces.
ROUND 5: Turn piece and work from RS, 1 ch, and in first ch-space work: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 4 dc, 1 picot – READ PICOT-1.
PICOT-1:
2 ch, 1 sl st in 2nd ch from hook.
ROUND 5: Work 4 dc, 1 hdc and 1 sc = 1 flower leaf done.
Complete description of ROUND 5:
ROUND 5: Turn piece and work from RS, 1 ch, and around every ch-space work: * 1 sc, 1 hdc, 4 dc, 1 picot – READ PICOT-1, 4 dc, 1 hdc and 1 sc *, finish with 1 sl st in first ch at beg of round - READ COLOUR CHANGE = 6 leaves with picot. Cut the yarn.
PICOT-1:
2 ch, 1 sl st in 2nd ch from hook.
COLOUR CHANGE:
When changing colour work as follows: Before last pull through of last loop on hook, switch colour, pull the last loop on hook through with the new colour.
The flower is done. Now work the square.
ROUND 1: Switch to white. Turn piece and work from WS. Work 1 ch, 1 sl st in the back loop of first sc from round 4 on flower.
ROUND 1: Work * 4 ch, 1 sl st in the back loop of next sc from round 4 on flower *, repeat *-* the entire round and finish with 4 ch, 1 sl st in 1st sl st on round = 6 ch-spaces.
ROUND 2: Turn piece. From RS 1 sl st in first ch-space, 3 ch (= 1 dc), 3 dc in same ch-space.
ROUND 2: Work * (2 dc, 2 ch, 4 dc) in next ch-space, (4 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc) in next ch-space *, 4 dc in next ch-space repeat from *-* 1 more time, and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round. = 32 dc, 4 ch-spaces.
ROUND 3: 3 ch (= 1 dc), work 1 dc in every dc until 2 ch-loop in each corner, work (2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc) in each corner around the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round = 48 dc, 4 ch-spaces.
ROUND 4: 3 ch (= 1 dc), work 1 dc in every dc until 2 ch-loop in each corner, work (2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc) in each corner around the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round = 64 dc, 4 ch-spaces.
ROUND 5: 1 ch (= 1 sc), skip 1st dc, work 1 sc in every dc until 2 ch-loop in each corner, work (1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 sc) in each corner around entire round. Finish with 1 sl st in first sc from beg of round = 72 sc and 4 hdc around entire square. Cut the yarn.
Backside:
One Wild rose square finished, measuring approx 9,5 x 9,5 cm.
Fasten off and work 5 squares in total the same way in the same colours - or use the colours you like.
