Gauge:
Wave pattern: 12 sts on smaller needles = 10 cm wide
Stockinette st: 15 sts x 19 rows on larger needles = 10 x 10 cm.

Garter st, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows.

Wave pattern: See chart. The pattern is seen from the right side. 1 chart = 1 repeat.
Note: All of the squares seen in the chart are not sts – the squares with circles (with and without dots) are only yarn overs, not sts.

Knitting tip: Ribbon has a tendency to twist when knit. For best results, untwist the yarn as you go along.

Measuring-tip: On account of the pattern measure the garment when held up rather than lying flat, otherwise the pullover will be too long when worn.

Front: Loosely cast on 57-63-67-71-77 sts on larger needles with ivory. Change to smaller needles and knit 3 rows garter st (row 1 = wrong side). Establish Pattern 1 on the next row as follows: K 1 (edge st), 2-0-2-4-2 sts garter st, Pattern 1A (= 5 sts), Pattern 1B over 40-50-50-50-60 sts, Pattern 1C (= 6 sts), 2-0-2-4-2 sts garter st, K 1 (edge st). When the piece measures 10 cm inc 1 st at each side every 5 cm a total of 4 times = 65-71-75-79-85 sts - knit the increased sts in garter st.
When the piece measures approx. 35-36-37-38-39 cm (adjust to end after 1 wave in ivory), change to larger 6 and knit stockinette st in ivory to finished measurements, increasing 16-18-18-20-20 sts evenly distributed on the first row = 81-89-93-99-105 sts. When the piece measures 37-38-39-40-41 cm bind off for armhole at each side every other row: 4 sts 1 time, 3 sts 0-1-1-2-2 times, 2 sts 2-3-3-3-4 times and 1 st 5-4-5-4-4 times = 55-55-57-59-61 sts. When the piece measures 48-50-52-54-56 cm put the center 17 sts on a st holder for the neck. Then bind off at each neck edge every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 2 times = 12-12-13-14-15 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 56-58-60-62-64 cm.

Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front. Bind off for armholes as on front. When the piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm bind off the center 27 sts for the neck. Then bind off 2 sts at each neck edge on the next row = 12-12-13-14-15 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 56-58-60-62-64 cm.

Sleeve: Cast on 36-36-40-40-44 sts on smaller needles with ivory and knit 3 rows garter st (row 1 = wrong side). Change to larger needles and knit stockinette st to finished measurements. When the piece measures 6 cm inc 1 st at each side every 3-2.5-2.5-2-2 cm a total of 9-10-10-11-11 times = 54-56-60-62-66 sts. When sleeve measures 34-32-31-30-29 cm bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2-1-1-1-1 time and 1 st 4-9-10-11-12 times, then bind off 2 sts at each side until the piece measures 44-45-45-45-45 cm, then bind off 3 sts at each side 1 time. The piece measures approx. 45-46-46-46-46 cm, bind off the remaining sts.

Assembly: Sew right shoulder.
Neckband: Pick up approx. 80-86 sts around the neck on smaller needles with ivory and knit 3 rows garter st, then bind off. Sew left shoulder and neckband. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance.
