CROCHET INFO: Replace first dc at beg of every dc round with 3 ch. Finish round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round. Replace first sc at beg of every sc round with 1 ch. Finish round with 1 sl st in 1st ch at beg of round. Replace first sc at beg of every sc row with 1 ch. COLOR PATTERN (worked in the round): When changing color work as follows: Work last dc with first color but wait with last pull through, switch to next color and work last pull through, then work next dc. When working with two color place strand for the color not worked over sts from previous round, work around the strand so that it is hidden and follows in the round. Make sure not to tighten the yarns. Replace first dc with ch 3, if last dc on previous round and first dc on next round are different color work last dc as follows: Work last dc with first color but wait with last pull through, switch to next color and work last pull through, 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round, then work 3 ch (= beg of round). PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. Diagrams show colors on sock. 1 square in diagram = 1 dc. DECREASE TIP-1: Dec 2 dc by working the next 3 dc tog as follows: Work 1 dc but wait with last pull through (= 2 sts on hook), then work the next 2 dc but on last pull through, pull yarn through all 4 sts on hook. DECREASE TIP-2: Dec 1 sc by working the next 2 sc tog as follows: Work 1 sc but wait with last pull through (= 2 sts on hook), then work next sc but on last pull through, pull yarn through all 3 sts on hook. ---------------------------------------------------------- SOCK: Piece is worked in the round from toe and back to instep, then work back and forth to mid back on heel. Work the leg on sock in the round at the end. Crochet 4 ch on hook size 4 mm / G/6 with light gray and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Continue as follows: ROUND 1: Work 6-6-5 sc in ch-ring – READ CROCHET INFO! ROUND 2: Work 2 sc in every sc = 12-12-10 sc. ROUND 3 (and then every other round): Work 1 sc in every sc. ROUND 4: * 1 sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* 6-6-5 times in total = 18-18-15 sc. REMEMBER THE CROCHET GAUGE! ROUND 6: * 1 sc in each of the first 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* 6-6-5 times in total = 24-24-20 sc. ROUND 8: * 1 sc in each of the first 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* 6-6-5 times in total = 30-30-25 sc. ROUND 10: * 1 sc in each of the first 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* 6-6-5 times in total = 36-36-30 sc. Inc are now done in size 5/6½ (EU35/37). SIZE 7½/9 (EU38/40) - 41/43: ROUND 12: * 1 sc in each of the first 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* 6-5 times in total = 42-35 sc. Inc are now done in size 7½/9 (EU38/40). SIZE 9½/10½ (EU41/43): ROUND 14: * 1 sc in each of the first 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* 5 times in total = 40 sc. ROUND 16: * 1 sc in each of the first 7 sc, 2 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* 5 times in total AT THE SAME TIME inc 3 sc evenly = 48 sc. Inc are now done in size 9½/10½ (EU41/43). ALL SIZES: = 36-42-48 sc on round. Work A.1 6-7-8 times in total on round - READ COLOR PATTERN. 1 square in A.1 = 1 dc. Work 9 rounds of A.1. On last round in A.1 (i.e. round with coral) dec as follows: Work A.1 over the first 24-30-34 dc, work the next 3 dc tog (= 2 dc dec) – READ DECREASE TIP-1, A.1 over the next 6-6-8 dc, work the last 3 dc tog (= 2 dc dec = 4 dc dec in total on round) = 32-38-44 dc. Piece measures approx. 15-16-18 cm / 6"-6 1/4"-7". If needed work 1 dc in every dc with light gray until piece measures 15-16-18 cm / 6"-6 1/4"-7". Continue piece with light gray. Work sc back and forth over the first 24-30-34 dc (i.e. do not work over the last 8-8-10 dc on round). When sock measures 20-22-25 cm / 8"-8 3/4"-9 3/4" (i.e. approx. 5-6-7 cm / 2''-2 3/8''-2 3/4'' from where it is divided), insert 1 marker in the middle of piece (= 12-15-17 sc on each side of marker). On next row dec 1 sc on each side of marker, i.e. beg 2 sts before marker and work the next 4 sc tog 2 by 2 – READ DECREASE TIP-2 (= 2 sc dec). Work 1 row without dec. Repeat dec on next row (= 2 sc dec) = 20-26-30 sc. Work 1 row without dec, sock now measures approx. 22-24-27 cm / 8¾''-9½''-10½'' from toe to heel. ASSEMBLY: Turn the sock inside out, place it double and work heel tog with light gray from WS with a row of sl sts through both layers. Fasten off. LEG: Now work in the round from seam mid back. Insert 1 marker in the piece. NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE! Now work over sc-rows on heel and dc over foot with light gray as follows: Work 15-18-20 dc evenly over sc rows until 2 sc rows remain, work 3 dc tog as follows: Work 1 dc in next sc row but wait with last pull through, work 1 dc in last sc row the same way, work 1 dc in first dc over foot but on last pull through, pull yarn through all 4 sts on hook (= 2 dc dec), work 2 dc tog in each of the next 6-6-8 dc over foot, work 3 dc tog as follows: Work 1 dc in last dc over foot but wait with last pull through, work 1 dc in first sc row the same way, work 1 dc in next sc row but on last pull through, pull yarn through all 4 sts on hook (= 2 dc dec), work 14-17-20 dc evenly over the last sc rows = 34-40-46 dc. Work 1 round with 1 dc in every dc and inc 2 dc evenly = 36-42-48 dc. Then work A.2 6-7-8 times in total in width. On 5th round inc 3 dc evenly = 39-45-51 dc. Repeat inc on 8th round = 42-48-54 dc. Diagram A.2 is then repeated 7-8-9 times in width. On 13th round inc 3 dc evenly – (NOTE: Inc in sections with deep sea) = 45-51-57 dc. Repeat inc on 15th round = 48-54-60 dc. Diagram A.2 is then repeated 8-9-10 times in width. Fasten off when A.2 has been worked 1 time vertically. Work 1 more sock the same way. |
